I wonder how hard it is for Ken to avoid saying "Belle Tire Powerplay".

Heh.

If you start a new thread within two hours after a Wings game, specifically a loss, YOU ARE WRONG.

5th shutout of the playoffs so far. Defense wins championships I guess.

Shutouts a plenty so far.

"All done? Five bucks." - Pavel Datsyuk after an interview
"Very few cities in the NHL have the history or the following of the Detroit Red Wings." - Steve Yzerman

Do the Rangers have any offense at all or is the Caps defense really that good?

You have to give some credit to the Caps, but the Rangers have had a lot of trouble generating offense. They will most likely continue to struggle without Callahan. They really need Gaborik to step up.

Off to Madison Square Garden in a bit. I'll try to give a full report on game 3 and see if the Rangers have more than .50 goals per game in them. The line in the sand gets drawn at 7th Avenue at 3pm

Detroit would like to welcome the Eastern Conference

They struggled all year to generate offense. Gaborik fell off this year. Prospal was out most of the season. Dubinski was good for a short while. Other then that theres no offense. They get more scoring from their 4th line players then their 1st.

I would like the rags to at least win a few games.

So Gaborik has caught Hossa syndrome or something?

I don't. It's like watching two celebrity morons bicker. Except they're not celebrities. I mean, really, who the hell is this Brooks guy? He's a nobody.

Semin is scaring people out there with that shot of his.

And not his penchant for playing bongos.

Looks like we're going to have a change in officials? Interesting.

should be a delay of game penalty, or force NY to use their timeout

Yeah why can't O'Halloran, LaRue, Watson, etc. get injured?

But yeah one of officials in this Rangers/Caps game got injured and so they had to call up the official on standby. Each team basically got a free couple of timeouts.

Christensen scores. 1-0 Rangers.
