Lidstrom does not deserver the norris. If he wins it's on reputation only. Visnovsky deserves the norris, plain and simple.

Visnovsky should need about 20 pts more than Lidstrom to make up for the defensive gap between the two.
Red Kelly #4 and Larry Aurie #6 belong in the rafters!!!

Why? Because he is plus 18?

News flash, he plays with the best line in hockey. The only reason Nick is -1 is because he is a Dman playing with no top offensive line.

You know he is the best Dman, so stfu.

Visnovsky deserves it because his team has a lower goal differential, he plays more than Nick, has a better +/- and has more points. Don't be an asshat.

Anyone that thinks that Nick does not deserve the Norris this year is NUTS. He is still the best all around dman in the game, got a huge amount of points, 16 goals, and is still responsible for his amazing defensive plays. You find me a coach that would not want to have Nick Lidstrom to put on the ice in the dying seconds of a must win game. Nick Lidstrom will and should win.

Somebody oughta communicate that news to the locker room. Maybe it would help. Then again, to do so would give those talking puppets some cred.

...nawww.....Just beat the s*** out of them on their own terms. :)

"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

Cleary with a huge hit. Wings looking like they're pressing pretty hard.

So +\- is more important than the fact Visnovsky is several levels lower than Lidstrom in defensive play?

That was the worst offsides call ever.
"It is a lot easier to be an ******* to words than to people"-xkcd

Tootoo does NOT belong on this team. He is classless and I would rather see the Wings be bad than classless. I feel the same way about Bertuzzi as well, but he at least CAN make the team better. With Tootoo the team becomes worse and in danger of being classless. Would you have liked Claude on the team? Or Roy? No. So why would you be okay with that POS.

No the fact that Visnovsky's stats are better across the board is more important than what Lidstrom has done in his past seasons, in regards to this season's norris.

I wanted to see a replay of that offside. The closest red wing to Huds was on the other side of the ice, and it looked like he was 1-2 strides behind.

We definitely look better in the second so far.
The Vladinator He earned the NHL Plus/Minus Award in 1995-96, with a plus/minus difference of plus-60. The +60 has been the highest rating a player has finished with in the past 20 seasons, since Wayne Gretzky finished with a +70 in the 1986-87 NHL season

Wings look to be dictating the pace right now, slow and controlled game.
