Well, at least Dallas choked early and didn't get their fans hopes too high.

I really hate Chicago. I both want them to get embarrassed and swept and have it go to 7 games with lots of injuries (none serious) for both teams.

From what I've read, they are very cocky and saying the fans and the team are ready for the hawks, and the canucks in 4/5

YEah, over on HF boards canucks forum they are all sounding pretty confident. I guess they have the right, they did win the presidents trophy handily. That's usually the kiss of death though.

I would not want to play Chicago in round 1. That's an arch rival series, Chicago is every bit good enough to be a top 3 seed, they just got injured and started off poorly, much like we did last year but we got it together in time. Chicago didn't. They slide in the back door, and these are the teams that are very dangerous. Out of the bottom 5 teams I think Chicago is by far and away the most dangerous team and this is why I was so afraid to end up playing them.

I think Vancouver is going to have its hands full, and i think it will be a 7 game series there.

I agree. Thats why I think all that cockiness they have going on is a little funny.

I mean if I was a Nucks fan, I'd be cocky too. The Hawks have been playing playoff hockey for 6-8 weeks now. They should wear down quickly, I would think (SHOULD being the key word). I think that was part of our problem last season. The Hawks CORE@#@!#!!! has been playing a ton of minutes for a while now, and some having played a ton all season. If the Canucks get past the mental road block, I would pick them to take it in 5.

I expect Vancouver to win in 6.

I do not think the defending stanley cup champion will be eliminated on home ice. I think it'll be 7 game series but I think Vancouver will win. That team is unbelievable, at least they were in the regular season.

But Chicago's team has a ton of offense and a solid defense so that will be interesting to see how Vancouver can handle Chicago.

The Wings did what they had to do/chose to do and they played their asses off and beat the Hawks. That's really all I basically cared about. Yeah it would have been great to see Chicago out of it, but I believe the Vancouver/Chicago series will be one of the toughest to get through; and the Ducks/Preds series is also gonna be a knock-down-drag-out one. Meanwhile, hopefully the Kings will find a way to take it to San Jose. So right now, I think it's looking good for our guys.

Yeah, some of the Nucks fans over there are ridiculous. They've pretty much declared Vancouver the best team in the history of hockey and talk as if they've won the Cup already, it's just a matter of a few details.

It's annoying because I like a lot of the Canucks players and would be pulling for them to win it all if not the Wings or Kings. But with all the crap at hfboards, it's tempered that for me a bit. I can't help think how it would silence those cocky fans if the Canucks crapped the bed in the playoffs. :D
