e_prime 1,936 Report post Posted April 16, 2011 He's no Pronger or Chris Simon (the two cases of stomping that come to mind) in terms of dirty play but, I think the league should throw the book at the kid. Stupid, stupid move on his part and the outcome could have been much worse. Players need to understand that they're not allowed to get away with these types of actions, and I think the league needs to make it clear. HOWEVER... With Ryan not having much of a history with bad incidents, coupled with his importance to the Ducks team, AND this being the playoffs. I bet he sits for a game, two TOPS. There was nothing but intent to do it and players are not dumb, they know it can severely injure someone doing that. If the reason for him not getting more than 2 was the receiving player didn't get injured that just stupid.
