Oh, THAT La Rue. I was having an intellectual interlude on him as well.

Devorski is the one who didn't throw Mac out of the game where he pummeled the Turtle. I'll always like him for that.

Thanks for a great season, guys. You exceeded expectations and have given us something to look forward to as the long summer approaches.

And next year we get to start in October, like hockey is SUPPOSED to.

O'Halloran = New Age Mick McGeough.

Devorski = Last of the old guard.

None of these other referees could hold a candle to McCreary or Van Hellemond.

Haha, that was honestly my first thought too. "Well, I see LaRue, so Auger must be there too..."

Don't forget that LaRue was also the ref that let a 6th Pittsburgh player not only skate right by him and be on the ice, but up in the zone and in the actual play for like 20 seconds in the '09 finals while he was watching the whole thing. He also appeared to be yelling at one their players at one point during when they had too many men on the ice, to tell them to get off the ice, instead of calling the penalty that should have been called.*

*I have also heard from people that were at ice level during the game, that he did indeed yell at them to get a man off instead of calling the penalty
