Great 2nd period.

We need to step on their throats here. No comeback bulls***.

And I hope to see someone challenge Doan, preferably Ericsson. That idiot needs to be quited down, before he runs anymore of our players or tries to elbow anyone else in the head. That's what enforcing is about.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

VS guys said Wings had play-off jitters in the first period. Jitters?? Really?

Yeah, I mean they're so inexperienced when it comes to the playoffs. Right?

Imma let you finish, and your cap numbers are all good and all that, but imma let Kenny figure it out. Kenny's cap numbers were the best cap numbers this year.

I know it's not sustainable, but that period was insane, play like that and we win this series.

It was complete domination, there was a 5 minute period where they barely touched the puck, and that PP goal was a clinic. Beautiful stuff.

Franzen and Flip, two maligned guys, bringing it so far. Huds has been good too, really working hard.

Ken Holland: Hes (Mursak) a young guy, provides energy, can skate, hes a puck hound.

Sure. We've seen that before. It's always an exciting time at the start no matter how experienced you are.

Jimmy held the fort early

The penalty kill shined which hasn't always been the case recently

The stars are being the stars

The Todd Bertuzzi chant fired up the Wings players (IMHO)

Detroit would like to welcome the Eastern Conference

Indeed, Jimmy has impressed me quite a bit this game so far. Hopefully the Wings keep this up in the third.

Florida Panhandle representing here!

Southern Mississippi representing here! Good to see I'm not the only Southerner here with good taste in sports teams.

Really glad to see our big guns stepping up. Franzen getting off to a good start is going to be key for us.

2nd period > 1st period (duh, right?)

What a fun period to watch. Jimmy was incredibly strong, and we started to carry the play the way this team can.

Bryzgalov was subpar against us last season, and he's followed it up tonight with another softy.

No one seems to remember the countless soft goals he gave up in those 7 games last year.

Im not the biggest Bert fan (The guy really needs to keep both hands on the damn stick!) But if we end up winning this game, I think it will be all because of the spark he gave us.

I liked how Abby hit him after he tried to run a Wing. I'm fine with just hitting back for now since the Wings are up, but Doan does need to be held accountable.

Not sure I'd call it "jitters" but they looked a bit over-excited about it being the playoffs, not playing very smart which lead to a lot of penalties.

In the 2nd they settled down a bit and the results were obvious.. this game isn't over but it's looking good.

Franzen's goal was an absolute gift. That's the kind of shot a goalie stops 99 out of 100 times...

...glad that Franzen, of all players, was #100!

Maybe Kronwall should catch him with his head down and raise the elbow a little.

I wouldn't mind what the repercussions are at this point.

I was thinking the same thing.

Just cause you look like the gimp don't mean you play like the gimp!
