Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 Thomas may win the Vezina, but he (and the rest of the Bruins) are laying a huge egg in the playoffs.
Opie 308 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 The media around here was so arrogant about this series. After the last regular season game, the media was all set to play the Habs. Be careful what you ask for. Although on the local broadcast, oh man do I hate Jack Edwards, they brought up their Twisted fact, brought to you by twisted tea. 3 teams from cali (Ana, SJ, LAK) and only 2 from Canada (Van, Mon)
Mabuhay Red Wings 177 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 Doesn't seem as if the Canadiens are giving Boston's top offensive players much respect and it's working.
redwingfan19 293 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 really boston? the boston bruins are 0-26 when going down 2 games in a series.
Mabuhay Red Wings 177 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 3-1 MTL, 1:15 remaining. Empty net BOS. Bahstin now down 0-2 in their series. Yikes.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 I dont think even a healthy Chara will save Boston. Lucic and Horton are playing like regular season Franzens. They cant score, they dont play the big bad Bruins role, and Thomas is being outplayed by Price. f***in montreal..
Mabuhay Red Wings 177 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 Who here has that signature of a person choking next to a Boston logo?
haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 Am I the only one who thinks that was a boring game? I felt like I was watching an AHL game. Lots of hitting, but also a lot of missed passes, whacking at the puck, not many quality scoring chances, and general spotty play.
F2B&G 15 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 To hell with the Toilet Seats, but the Bruins look awful, and with the series shifting back to MTL, this looks to be over.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted April 17, 2011 In Game 1 Boston actually looked strong, just was snakebitten and couldn't finish. Game 2 they just look lethargic. Unless they get a spark real soon, I can see them possibly getting swept out of the first round.
Jersey Wing 1,521 Report post Posted April 17, 2011 Death, taxes, and Montreal will eliminate Boston when they meet in the playoffs

mr.sparkle 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2011 A Habs-Wings Cup final would be pretty incredible. Dats vs. Carey Price would make for a legendary series.

Blaayze 25 Report post Posted April 18, 2011 A Habs-Wings Cup final would be pretty incredible. Dats vs. Carey Price would make for a legendary series. Geeze, that would make my house/family the most volatile place in the fricken world. 1/2 is Toronto, so they would just be pissed in general, 1/4 is wings, and 1/4 Habs. Geeeeeze. I would hate to be on the losing end of that battle. I'd kill to have P.K. Subban on our team, what a player.

Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 18, 2011 Is Boston cough cough cough Sorry, I was choking. the new San Jose? If they lose this series in 5 or less, then they aren't just the new San Jose. There worse. Back in 09 the loss to Carolina was brutal, last years epic collapse against Philly and now Montreal. Not pretty.

Firehawk 305 Report post Posted April 19, 2011 Is it just me or when we watch these East Coast teams they seem to play like they're in a lower league than the NHL compared to the west? I mean, a lot of the east games are 1-0 or 2-0 for most of the game, with no offensive talent for the most part. Then you come over to the west and you have all these offensive weapons, the pace seems much faster, the plays that get set up are much prettier, etc. Maybe it's me. Xitium 272 Report post Posted April 22, 2011 Boston ties it at 1 early in the second. Thomas is really saving the Bruins bacon right now. Montreal is on fire. Montreal finally scores after all of the pressure they were putting on. 2-1 Habs. Hmm another quick one for Montreal. They score on a 2 on 1 to make it 3-1 Habs. Klunzo 36 Report post Posted April 22, 2011 30 shots against Thomas already and the game is only half way through the second.....they deserve to lose this one.
Xitium 272 Report post Posted April 22, 2011 Boston scores and they are right back in it. 3-2 Habs. Montreal should have like 7 or 8 on the board. Ferrence flips off the crowd after he scores the 2nd goal for the Bruins. Open your wallet, buddy.
