I think if the nhl wants to be legit, they need to discipline their refs like in soccer. if ur a s***ty ref u dont get to call big games and u get called out for it. i can't see how these guys keep their jobs other than bettman loves it. i want to think bettman doesn't instruct the officials to do anything other than ref, but its hard to imagine that when they still have their jobs after countless bad calls. i can understand accidental bad calls, but if its in a refs history, then they need to go.

There should be a history repeats itself video of 5on3's against detroit in the playoffs.

Tippett was complaining about it during his presser. The angle that they had live from behind the glass wasn't good but it sure as hell looked like a regular old run of mill hockey hit to me.

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened there. Not just the penalty, but Jovanovski was clearly pissed about it too. Wondering if there's something I missed?

Doan and Jovonaski are now on my most hated list, right there with Iginla, Thornton, and Crosby... Who does Jovo think he is to grab Helm's face like that?! Helm should have spit in his face or something.

Yeah, the Helm hit on Jovanovski looked clean as a whistle to me, but I'm willing to give the refs the benefit of the doubt there since Jov and Tippett were so teed off about something. What I'm NOT willing to let go is that nobody called anything on Jov grabbing Helm's frigging throat. That's un-mofoing-acceptable, and out of all the stupid sh** that happened in the game, that's what's going to stick with me because I still can't believe it. I don't care if Helm cross-checked, slashed, boarded, and then sat on him, that's just not what you do, and I can't believe the refs let that go.

However, after watching last nights Vancouver - Chicago game and our game today it is very apparent that the Wings get S**t called differently. Last night the officals were letting everything go and today it was the exact opposite against us. WHAT A LOAD OF BS!!

According to the Red Wings Official Facebook Page it is 21. For full disclosure I missed today's game since I had to work My School's Service Day. I am on the Student Senate so I was kind of expected to work it. Trust Me I would have much rather been watching the Wings instead of cleaning fire trucks......

I do too, but reality is, it will only get worse once we are in AZ.

Refs have orders from Bettman and Co. to extend series' as long as possible and to throw games to the teams that are less skilled and would by all accounts be swept, or nearly swept, but will now go to 7 game matches, by orders of Lord Gary. (bet we won't see any sweeps this year too, wonder why?)

I gotta say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it when the Wings win a big AFTERNOON playoff game, so the rest of the playoff games that day are icing on the cake. Boston and Montreal in high def? Yes please. It's awesome because the Wings already won. They put the hay in the barn early and now we can put our feet up. Sharks and Kings for a late night snack? Perfect.
