Stuart was kinda shaky.

He was just as shaky all season long. People here were just focusing on things like Howard's poor play, Hudler's slump, Datsyuk's injury, etc. and so Stuart slipped under the radar. But now most of the team is playing very well, so he doesn't look so solid anymore.

I predict their game will go into OT and you're gonna miss the first 10 minutes or so of the first period. :hehe:

What a crock of s***. Versus has two extra channels on Directv. Did they use them? HELL no.

I know, I have Direct TV myself, and was pissed that the 2 alt channels didnt show s***, except that damned direct tv logo.

HUGS FOR EVERYBODY, AHHHH!!!! I don't even know what to say. This is so...RAD!! I didn't know they could do it in 4, but I thought they might...5 sounded more reasonable, but a sweep didn't seem out of the question. Thanks so much Wings for exceeding expectations!

I love that Howard quote...might have to put that in my sig.

Remember that mini discussion we had where we joked about 4/5 games? Hehe. Welp, they did it.

The Wings swept the Jets out of Winnipeg and into the desert (I was at the last Jets game). Now the Wings have swept the Coyotes out of the desert and back into the freezer, aka - Winterpeg! I'll be at the first Jets home game next year for sure and it would only be fitting if it could be against the Wings.

The Wings also opened up the Coyotes season this year with a win as well as closing it out.

I feel bad for the Phoenix fans, hope if they are true fans that they will continue to follow the team if the do move.

I'll toss a word in for the Coyotes fans too. I don't envy them at all. Gonna be a long, scary offseason. I don't like it when some of our fans take delight in them losing their team.

It really sucks for the people who actually enjoy hockey there, that's for sure. And of course the families. Last night I was surprised to find myself feeling bad for Shane Doan. The guy is a warrior.

I have a lot of respect fir the Coyote organization. They put together a winning team and really tried to win unlike the Panthers and some sporadic teams in the league. I blame their fans. Much like the Tampa Bay Ray's fans who had a really good team the past many years, their fans just don't show up to support a winning team. In Winnipeg, it was the other way around. Good fan support but a bad team and city.

I thought you guys would be happy to know that I can predict the future. This is what went down:

Beginning of the 2nd Period, Wings about to go on the PP

Me: Has Cleary scored yet this round?

Guy Next To Me: No, I don't think so.

Me: Hmm well I want him to score. I vote Dan Cleary gets the game winner.

Now, does someone want to remind me who ended up scoring the game winner late in the 3rd? ;)

For Babs postgame, click here Funny how its on the Coyotes website and not the Wings.

That is a little strange.

I ended up watching a lot of the postgame interviews with the Yotes players. Aside from the disappointment of losing the game, it was also really clear how screwed up it must have been to try to play for this team with all the drama that's going on off the ice. If the team is moving, ownership problems, etc. I know we give the Phoenix fans a hard time, but it really must suck for the fans there who do root for that team and want them to stay.

Also, I know I'd probably love him if he were a Wing, but Doan has always pissed me off. But hearing him in the post game interview, he seems like a pretty class act off the ice.

This series once again begging the question: If Shane Doan Steve Yzerman is such an incredible captain and leader, how come Phoenix/Winnipeg Detroit can't get out of the first round?

Funny, the same things were said about Steve Yzerman prior to 1995. The difference is, the dedication of (or lack of in Phoenix's case) ownership and lack of hiring the right people to run your organization. Plus that whole Gretzky as a coach thing will haunt this organization forever....

The only reason i wouldn't want Doan, is because he could cost you a game or two with his undisciplined play. One or two games in the new NHL could potentially have season ending consequences. If he were able to control his temper and idiocy, then I would welcome him with open arms :)

But I completely agree with those interviews. it really must suck being a Yote', having a successful team, and have empty seats.

I'm so happy for our team & I am extremely confident that they can bring another stanley cup back home.

But honestly, this video really made me feel bad for the Yotes, especially Doan :/ It must be a really tough feeling going through what their team is struggling with. I can respect them

Congratulations Detroit Red Wings and all Wings fan's !! Helm is god !!

Helm, right now, is one of the most valuable Wings. He is more important to this team than most, if not everyone not named Lidstrom/Datsyuk/Zetterberg. There in lies the problem. After next season, he will be an RFA, he will easily, EASILY get more than Filppula, Hudler or Cleary. If he continues his playoff magic this season and throughout next, he will be in the $3.5M - $4M... More Cap, More Problems... He is well worth the money! When Lids retires, Helm could easily be the next Alternate Captain. If Lids stays a couple more seasons, he could easily become the next Captain, even ahead of Zetterberg...

Well, maybe, in the off season, Holland could package Stuart/Hudler for a trade to LA for Jack Johnson....

Wait..what? Helm will not get anywhere near that. he might hit 2.5 at most, but I'm guessing he gets around 2mil at most.
