Everything about it, including the physics, is spot-on perfection. Brilliant, right down to the bounce of the skate-covered parts that fell off.

This. Although, after the femoral artery passes the knee joint it branches into three smaller arteries (popliteal and anterior and posterior tibial) which supply blood to the lower leg. They would still be gushers if they were severed, but just not as bad as the femoral. However they would still take time to be cauterized.

So anyway...photoshop....
