Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted May 4, 2011 (edited) As I'm watching that play I'm thinking -- Weber better be careful here. He's going to get a penalty. About two seconds later. Hughson -- "Weber is getting a penalty." Sure, after watching the replay, Kesler played it smart and locked his elbow down on Weber's stick. But as I said, smart play. Tough call for the refs who couldn't get a clear look at it because it was against the boards. Canucks get a break after being on the s***ty end of the stick so many times and capitalize on a PP. My world is fine today. Edited May 4, 2011 by Chairman Maouth
CopenhagenWing 38 Report post Posted May 4, 2011 Weber's stick is obviously up but the referees have seen that scenario so many times, I'm surprised they keep falling for that trick. It doesn't matter that much in the regular season but this could prove very costly for the Preds.

Guest ToMaToToWnWinGsFaN_24 Report post Posted May 5, 2011 I just watched the highlights - wtf was with all the orange? i heard they were handing out shirts before the game..due to the team advancing to the 2nd round for the first time in franchise history. seems right, couldve heard wrong though with the caps being eliminated in 4 and with both the wings and flyers on the verge of getting swept, this is gotta be the most interesting to watch. as i said in the GDT from tonight tomorrow nights game could make or break this series. nucks win and theyve pretty much sealed the deal. but if preds win.then this series gets more interesting more and more. i hope that orange shirt thing was justa one time thing though...seeing that site the whole game made me think of hot dogs..with lots of mustard
aMonster 96 Report post Posted May 5, 2011 I wonder if the size of Kesler's nose could get him an illegal stick penalty in tonight's game?
aMonster 96 Report post Posted May 6, 2011 Well just like Detroit in their series, Nashville is not going to win it's series. Dont know about the rest of you but I'm a little PO'd at the Wings for being so old and pathetic.. they were supposed to face the Presidents Trophy team in a conference final and now that doesn't look like it's going to happen. Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted May 6, 2011 (edited) Canucks Green Men in the Nashville house hitting on Nicole Kidman. I am fine with that. The Red Wings are probably the most respected NHL franchise in the last 15 years or so. Edited May 6, 2011 by Chairman Maouth

I can't imagine the Sedins matching up against Thornton. I agree with that, way more so than Nashville is. Reversed roles from round one, then it was the Canucks who had a real opponent and Detroit was under matched. Anyway, to Chairman... I think Wings fans are just as PO'd as I am about how their series has gone, I wanted a Detroit/Vancouver WCF
jeff48109 474 Report post Posted May 6, 2011 maybe should have rooted for chicago to beat vancouver, then we would have played nashville. they have close to 0 offensive imagination. if the sedins continue to be missing in action, san jose will handle them

MGreenberg 105 Report post Posted May 6, 2011 Vancouver needs to keep Kesler and get rid of the Sedins. Sure and trade them to Detroit for Franzen and Cleary straight up. Get the Swede Line going. Z - H. Sedin - D. Sedin Sounds like a good deal to me.

Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted May 6, 2011 (edited) The big problem I see with the Preds, they do not get enough shots.. Seems like every game, the Canucks are out shooting them by a wide margin The Canucks are outplaying the Preds at their own game - defense. Plus the Canucks offense is overwhelming the Preds defense quite often. If it weren't for Rinne, this series would already be over -- although I did some cracks in his armour last game. Should be over tomorrow. If not, the Canucks learned nothing in the previous series against the Hawks. Edited May 6, 2011 by Chairman Maouth

MGreenberg 105 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 So trade away 2 proven playoff performers for two soft mush balls? No thanks. It was a joke but right now Franzen and Cleary have not done anything against San Jose. So far Franzen and Cleary have combined for eight points in the playoffs and only two points total against San Jose which were both Cleary assists. On the other hand the Sedins have 17 points combined in these playoffs with a goal and four assists against Nashville. Now I know Vancouver has played three more games than Detroit but I doubt those three games would make up the nine point difference between the two pairs. I'm not against trading either of those guys by any means. Just not for those two clowns. Besides, I don't put much stock into tiny little stat packages when comparing players. You can extrapolate any stat into whatever you want. It's fun, but not realistic. Edited May 7, 2011 by Broken
