Game set & series match! What did I tell ya guys the Sharks are our daddies! We can't beat them even if we have a chance they give it away with stupid penalties! Sharks in 5 or maybe 4!

Oh come on. They weren't "stupid penalties." The Wings were fine until (predictably) the last 10 minutes of the game, when suddenly all across the NHL the winning team because completely unglued and commits all sorts of irresponsible penalties. f****** garbage.

Doubtful. Very doubtful.

Detroit NEVER plays well off of the long break. Ever.

Now they'll be scrambling to get back into the series and they'll try to hard to be perfect on offense and they won't score jack s***. We've seen this script before, except I am not sure this team has the overall talent to play games like this every night.

And the doomsaying begins. If you have so little faith in the team, then stop watching the games.

Well... At least we know Jimmy can steal a game for us.

Keep your sticks down.
Don't slash near the hands.
Don't touch Pavelski.

The rust is gone. Now it's time to steal the series by winning the next game. We couldn't go 16-0, we were bound to lose a game.

Our penalty killing finally showed up.

Put Draper in for Hudler.

well that was unlucky night.

recap:
Howard played amazing
Bert, Mule, Cleary sucked. suck is an understatement
Flip played good defensively
Z was sluggish
PK was good
Helm did not seem himself at all
Refs played great for the sharks

I am pissed, just need to split the series on sunday and wings will be okay.

Abs needs to sit, get Modano in for him, at least he probably has some hunger.

Only line that was dominant, was the top line. They need to split D and Z up, we don't seem to have the depth with the current lines we're playing with, our 2nd and 3rd lines were totally outmatched.

You'd given up before the puck dropped. Why are you even still here?

Wings gave Sharks this game. They didn't take the play to SJ when they had the chance and let them come back.

You mean that Bertuzzi gave them the game with his stupid penalty! They get great goaltending and still can't win! They have a 1-0 lead and still can't win! This sound familiar e.g. regular season games when they lose 1-0 or 2-1! This series is over!

Even without the penalties. The Wings played like s*** (except Howard) and deserved to lose.

exactly.

Helm is a perennial Selke candidate

Our effort tonight was disgraceful.

This, stop complaining about what the team can't control. The reffing wasn't great, but they outplayed us for most of the game, the result wasn't that surprising and would've been had a lot sooner if it wasn't for Howard.

i don't blame this on anyone but detroit.

dats and z were the only 2 forwards doing anything.

not nearly enough effort out of everyone.

very different team in game 1 compared to the phoenix series.

I didn't see Z do anything profound. He's a step slow. Franzen was mediocre, Fil was terrible in the O zone. Huds was timid, Abs was lame, and Cleary forgot how to play hockey.

Exactly, we had no legs all night, some bad calls but we just got out worked for pretty much 60+ minutes. Jimmy and Dats were good but I'd be stretching to find another guy who played well.

LGW after 1 loss is irrational, after a few in a row it becomes quite comical, 22 playoff appearances in a row and 4 cups in that time and still going strong. Relaxxxxx !!

If you start a new thread within two hours after a Wings game, specifically a loss, YOU ARE WRONG.
