No lineup changes for Game 4

Babcock is probably thinking "We've only lost by one goal in each game so we don't have to change anything, just get some more bounces our way." When the fact is, the Wings are getting completely outplayed every game. It's like he is satisfied by only losing by one goal. He was defeated before the series even started. I can't find any logic in his moves this series. In game 2 when the Wings were getting dominated he obviously needed to mix up the lines and get some kind of sense of urgency but he sat back and did nothing. Anybody could coach this team the way he has. Just keep throwing the same lines and maybe every 5 minutes we'll get a shot on goal.

People tend to forget how we were all over the Sharts for 54 minutes of game 3. The first game we outplayed them for the majority of the game with some odd goals on their part. Either way, it's not 60 full minutes and thus, here we are down 3-0.

Modano is not hurt. He was interviewed, and said he was not on the lineup sheet, and hinted he was really frustrated.

Gee, then maybe he shouldn't have admitted he doesn't have the fire for a playoff run before the first round even began.

I disagree with this. We got owned in game 2, plain and simple. In Game 1, we carried the play for 25 minutes, and the Sharks carried it for 42. However, the Sharks were limited to perimeter shots that Howard kept out all night, and only scored 2 goals because the refs gave them crappy calls. That should have been a Wings win. Game 3 was lost by Mike Babcock. The coach should recognize when 2 defensemen are getting owned and make a change. After game 1, I would have sat Draper, double shifted Datsyuk with Helm/Eaves and Franzen/Cleary, and brought in Kindl for a 7th defenseman to play in place of Rafalski 5 on 5. Rafalski is simply too small to handle 5 on 5 play against the Sharks, but he still hold value on the power play. But Babcock didn't make that change, and along with playing prevent defense instead of normal Red Wings hockey during the 3rd, Ericsson/Rafalski caughed up game 3. So in Retrospect, this series could easily be 2-1 Wings if the Refs and Babcock don't screw things. Perhaps having their backs against the wall will help them rally.

We'll see.

and it did what for us? Just askin'?

It's hard to argue when you see the scoreboard. Just lookin'.
