I will be there in my trusty Holmstrom jersey. I plan on being loud enough to lose my voice tonight, and possibly some hearing if my fellow fans join me in said plan. No score predictions, just Datsyukian dekes for days.

Go Wings! :siren:

Hate to say it guys, but I think this is going to be agonising - I'm feeling double or even triple OT tonight. Whether we'll have a Larionov or a Sykora I cannot tell.

I'm all jacked up on mountain dew!...And also so nervous I could probably puke at any given moment.

Join the club. I can't believe I'm THIS nervous this early in the day. This is only Game 6 too. If they win, we have to go through this all over again on Thursday... but that's a good thing! :hehe:

I'm nervous too... but then I realized this is why I love hockey! These nerve-wracking season deciding games are what its all about.

GO WINGS! Give it everything tonight!

Quite interesting to hear everybody outside Hockeytown, especially the tv talking heads, now ooking for a seat on the Detroit bandwagon. Pssssh whatever!!! It's either disrespect us or ignore us all year, so I don't trust any of them. They're trying to jinx us and we sure the hell don't need them!! Even Hockey Night in Canada featured about 45 seconds of Datsyuk highlights the other night. A FULL 45 seconds!! Hahaha.

Out-hit.

Out-hustle.

And remember boys, it's us against the world. Nobody wants us here.

"To whom much is given, much is expected!!!"

Go Wings!!!

Oh yeah, I agree, this is what its all about. When its not this time of year, I'm wishing it was. Its the only time I like having that "I gotta puke" feeling. lol

To the girl who is wondering whether or not to buy a ticket for $90 let me put it to you this way:

Game 7 of the 2009 Finals. I drove 4 hours from Toronto, by myself, all the way to Detroit without a ticket and circled the arena trying to get a ticket and when that failed I had to watch the game in Cobo Joe's (a bar by Joe Louis Arena) and watch the Wings lose the cup on home ice, and then drove home alone. Every year in the playoffs I make the trip out because it's worth it. I wouldn't trade that trip for any thing because had they won it, even though I couldn't get in the building, being there was worth it.

FOr tonight's game I already got my ticket and am leaving in about 45 minutes, again driving alone because none of my friends could get off work (or whatever other b.s excuse they have), and am going to be there. You could witness history in the making. You're going to get a chance to see this a part of potentially one of the greatest come backs in history. You'll also get to see one of, if not the last, game of Mike Modano's career. There are about a million reasons to go and all it will cost you is $90. There isn't even a decision to make. Just go

The Ren Cen is supporting the Wings too. It's a cell phone pic my sister took.

I agree if you can get to the game you should do it. Going to the game alone is still fun because everyone there is ready for a great night. I'd love to go if it weren't for the cost.

From Red Wings Front comes this quote from our one and only Homer (we have lots of homers, but only one Homer):

DETROIT — Here’s Tomas Holmstrom’s response when asked about Pavel Datsyuk’s injury.

“Everybody’s fresh. Fresh like a daisy,” Holmstrom said.

That's right, motherf***ers, and these daisies are ready to KILL!!!

Don't get me wrong, cost is a factor and not everyone has the means to attend games. But if you have the money you gotta get there. There have been games I've debated going to and decided not to go to and regretted it. Perfect example (although it's baseball), I was too tired so I didn't go to the Jays/Tigers game last Saturday (I live in Toronto) and I missed out on witnessing a no-hitter. I've been kicking myself ever since. My buddy suggested getting tickets to the 2009 Game 7 against the Ducks and I almost didn't go. I ended going and man was it worth it.

Me, too. I felt that all through Game 5 and already have a tight knot in the pit of my stomach.

GO WINGS!!!

The anxiety set in last night for me watching the Nashville game. I felt what the Preds fans were feeling knowing that we have the same mountain to climb as they were trying to.

If you have the means, don't ever miss a game. The only games I usually get to attend are when we play in Dallas. I went to the first game in October (which we lost) and due to some unfortunate circumstances I didn't have PTO to attend the game in December, when Eaves got his hat trick, and otherwise a spectacular come back and game all together. I've considered moving to D just so I could get season tickets and go to every wings game, seriously.

The game I paid $1K to go to was my first wings game, game 5 of the SCF in 2009, and I almost didn't go. Man did I pick the right game to go to and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact, that's my yearly goal, to have enough money to make it to Detroit and into JLA if they make the Finals.
