Can't argue with too many men and delay of game. Some dumb penalties by the Sharks and holy s*** did the game just take a wild turn.

honestly on the replay the too many men looked marginal. The Sharks player was right at the door to the bench. So his skates were on the ice, but he wasn't a factor in the play. Could've gone either way. If the Sharks had been the ones called for all the penalties in the first, it's probably let go.

Like I said, horribly managed game by the officials.

But the guy who played the puck was the guy who came off the bench. The other guy wasn't off yet. They call that every time. And Daniel passed the puck to him. Very smart play.

One of the Sharks jumped on way too early, but the penalty was that his early jump gave the Sharks an unfair advantage because the other player was not that close to being off the ice when possession was held. To me this is a very unambiguous penalty. Of course, the refs have bungled every call before this one except one of them against the Canucks in the 1st.

I can only wonder how the refs plan on making up for the 5 on 3's.

The Canucks playing it to the bench area looked like a set play to get the Sharks to play it and get called.

Why couldn't the Wings expose the Sharks like the Nucks are doing? Sigh...

Getting three 5v3s really would have helped...

I dont recall the wings getting any 5 on 3 in the series and i think they did a pretty good job exposing them when the wings forced a game 7

The Wings would have found a way to mess it up.

This is one game in which I'm honestly glad I'm not watching the Wings play. My head would have exploded from the inanity of the officiating. It's really inexcusable.

Because Wings don't dive like the Canucks/Sharks do.

I think I'm about done watching this series, the refs ruined what could have been a good matchup. Nice seeing Sharks get a taste of their own medicine, but disgusting that NHL promote this s***.

Call the ******* diving, and let the marginal s*** go FFS!

10:55 Vancouver Canucks VAN Sami Salo 2 (power play) (Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin)

11:11 Vancouver Canucks VAN Sami Salo 3 (power play) (Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin)

^lol

You mean the Wings power play units? Not likely.

Ye of little faith. Remember, too, that the Sharks were bad on the PP in the series as well.

1) The Red Wings did not dive well enough.

2) The Red Wings special teams was horrendous. Power play disappeared.. was the difference in that series and as you can see is the same way here in this series too.

Honestly the set play is another factor. They're intentionally turning the puck over to get a call. To me the borderline calls like that too many men get made if they're going to lead to a good scoring chance by the guy who hopped on, or if a guy hops off the bench to make a defensive play when no one else is back.

But on the replay, it looked like when the puck hit Couture's stick, the guy he was replacing was at the door to the bench. And the Sharks have the long change to the offensive zone so it's not like he was busting in all alone. With the margin of errors they give guys when changing, this seemed to be pushing it a bit to me, but not outrageous. Could've gone either way IMO.

Anyway, this game is such a mess in terms of officiating that's hardly going to be the one deciding factor.

I'm still hoping for a bunch of penalty shots in the third. :D

Nothing would make me more happy than if refs start calling ALL dives. Once the diving is gone, fun hockey to watch will be back. These two teams are a bunch of ******* hacks, and refs are getting humiliated.
