You were awesome Jimmy. Absolutely stellar play by you.

Got way more faith in our goaltending going forward than I did just a month ago.

5-2 all-time in postseason elimination games. Not too shabby, kid.

You've won my respect, Jimmy. You did good.

Scratch that - you didf****** phenomenal.

Cant blame one game on him. Unlike the regular season where almost every game was blamed on him.

Howard was amazing, and that's all I have to say about that.

Way to go Howard he is the future and the future looks like cups!

Now we need a defense in front of him and he will be a force in this sport.

Yeah he earned my respect since I was ready to throw him under a bus during the regular season.

I see no issues in net for the Wings for a while. Jimmy was a rock. Even tonight when he got caught, he somehow got back to stop the wrap around.

Howard was SPECTACULAR.

Howie. Thank you. You were the heart and soul of the team on a team full of heart and soul, so that's saying something. You kept us in it. Cheers.

Would just like to reiterate what Ozzie30 (aka Howie 35) said: Ericsson, GTFO.

Nobody lives forever.
Some things never die.
Like up in the land of ice and snow,
They tell me that a Red Wing always flies.

I know that the respect and admiration most people are giving him now will probably evaporate in 3 months. Still, I am a big supporter of the Wings and their goaltenders. Howard played solid in playoffs. I think they can make a strong run next season too.

Jimmy was frakin' awesome! I hope the Canucks sweep those dirty chokes.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, I love Jimmy Howard.

He played his heart out, and gave the rest of the team the opportunity to win.

I hope next season the Wings come back and allow him to raise the cup as a starter.

Great season, Jimmy. It has been a pleasure watching your career progress and I cannot wait to see you again in the fall.

He had a great season, I can think of only a few goals this series that he should have had, the rest were just deflections, bad bounces, or bad defense. Cannot wait for next season!

I think we should all feel confident about our goaltending for the near future.
