Tootoo does NOT belong on this team. He is classless and I would rather see the Wings be bad than classless. I feel the same way about Bertuzzi as well, but he at least CAN make the team better. With Tootoo the team becomes worse and in danger of being classless. Would you have liked Claude on the team? Or Roy? No. So why would you be okay with that POS.

14th forward you say?one thing id like to see change next season is less cycling of the bottom line guys. everyone agrees that mursak should be a regular and so should abby. With miller in, i see him being very unhappy sitting again this season, it was an awkward situation last season and would only get worse. if richards isn't signed i see us grabbing a top 6 winger and still having this problem with the bottom line. who would be a better option for the 14th spot?

Here is my roster, obviously we'd have to send something, (possibly Emmerton or Mursak) which may open up a injury spot for Drapes, also if Jagr decides to sign, dump Hudler. I figure if we have the cap space we might as well keep Huds and try to get him going right away unless a better player is available.

White is the best option, and really he should have been the best option from the beginning. Save for the right hand part.
ASSETS: Moves the puck with precision out of the defensive zone. Is an above-average skater and puck-handler. Owns a big shot from the point.
FLAWS: Lacks ideal size for the NHL, especially in front of his own net. Can go into offensive slumps from time to time.
CAREER POTENTIAL: Mobile, yet diminutive defenseman.

So the Wings have added 2 d men,backup goalie's on the way,but we are still one depth scoring winger short in my eyes.
Wanted Laich,Ryder or Jokinen but they are already locked so what about Vinny Prospal?
I know he's 36,but he can play and for Bert/Homer's money wouldn't mind him see in the Wings sweater

The market for goalies is pretty picked over, Red Wings general manager Ken Holland said. We’re comfortable with Chris Osgood if we have to do it.
I have gotten calls from teams, looking to trade a goaltender, Holland said. I need to do something and I probably will this week.
Also, on the offseason in general:
We like our team, but we’re ready to make another move or two—whether it’s a signing or a trade—to make our team better this summer, Holland said.
