think of the points on the PP too... I can't emphasize how much I want Bieksa in the Winged Wheel...
I enjoy these lines thoroughly. I would almost think Kronner moves up to first pairing to limit Lids' minutes a tad and have Kron with Bieker. Yep, its hockey, I have to give nicknames almost immediately.
Brad McCrimmon will not return for 2011/2012

I could DEFINITELY get on board with that... Hitch is a hell of a coach and Babs and he are friends, so........Cock squared. Thats all I am saying.

Lids will never be a coach, he's even gone on record of stating that it's not something that interests him after playing... he's a front office type if anything...Clearing up a spot for Lidstrom in case he decides to retire from playing?

I'd be surprised if Hitchcock took anything but a head coach position, though I would not be averse to him with Babs.
Chelios would be a nice look, too.

I agree, I want to scream it from the mountaintops right now... I feel like I need to run through the streets screaming "McCrimmon is gone" and hugging random strangers...There is no word in the English language to describe the sheer joy and jubilation that this news has brought me.
Happy day, indeed.

You are not risking your masculinity by visiting that threadAs a heterosexual man, I cannot find myself in that thread other than my actual pics.
Just sayin'.
I think this is a good choice, hopefully we'll get someone in there that will make a difference. Would be nice to see Cheli, he's always been a good mentor when he was playing.

Thanks Offsides

I personally wanted that all along, but MacClean seems to prefer to coach the O, so I don't think they'll move him when he's happy... however, I would be all for it (Gallant for O, hmm, hmmmmmm?)Anyone else think that they'll move MacLean back to Defensive Coach and hire an Offensive guy?

DAMNIT! there goes my chance...Beat me to it!
We might need coherent sober coaches on the bench but, I do like his insight and think he would even be an upgrade.

That rules out the Chuck Wagon too, even though I like his strategy...

But I don't get why Hitchcock's name is being mentioned so often. The guy's a Stanley Cup winning head coach with 15 years experience. Why would he want to be second fiddle to Babcock?
Has someone read something somewhere? Or is this another case of "sign Shea Weber!"
