Veteran Detroit-born center Doug Weight has announced his retirement from the great game we all love. He hoisted the Stanley Cup with the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2005-2006 season. Weight recorded 278 goals, 755 assists, for a total of 1,033 points over 1,238 games.
