I was perusing the UFA's and noticed a peculiar name pop up and I had to check the stats to make sure I remembered correctly, but we should really make a push to sign Maxime Talbot... The guy is a spark plug if I'm not mistaken and if you notice he has always showed up in the playoffs to provide secondary scoring. Check out his stats!

We should definitely make a push to pick him up over Miller. We could get him for 1.25 mil more than likely.

According to Pittsburgh radio shows, Talbot is most likely NOT going to back with the Pens next year. I was kind of half paying attention to the radio while I was driving, but they said something like "The general feeling with the players is that he won't be back and Max is acting like he won't return" or something to that extent. The Pens have too many free agents to sign to give Talbot want he could get with another team.

I would absolutely HATE to have that jackass on this team. After what he did in Game 5 of '08 and the obvious in 2009, I can't even stand to look at that piece of garbage. I don't care what he could do for the team, it would just make me sick to my stomach to see him in a Wings jersey.

I would sort of forgive him for the game 7 goal binge he had there... Well kinda. Regardless, he wouldn't be too bad of an add to the roster and the bottom 6. It would be a bit nauseating to cheer him on as I also think he is a ****** but he just might help.

Can you remind us what he did? I can think of another Wing who did something atrocious, yet we all welcomed him in and he hasn't been all that bad for what he makes.

All I know is he scored 2 goals in the biggest game of my young hockey watching life... Scars man, scars

Yeah, that sucks back then, but imagine having those 2 goals in a big game for us in the future... Starts to look a lot better.

Game 7? Two goals? Ring a bell? Not to mention his slash on Datsyuk's injured foot in Game 5. We don't need him. Plain and simple.

Your argument against getting him is pretty silly. So because he slashed our injured player and scored 2 big goals, we don't want him on our team years later? Give me a break, if you sat down and looked it objectively and noticed his post-season production, any sane man would reconsider.

I'll take him. He's a player you hate to play against, but would love to have on your team.

Quit living in the past. It's present and future that you should be concerned about.

I get it, if you told me you wanted to get a two way player, that scores big goals and would be relatively cheap and didn't tell me his name, I'd be all for it. But acquiring Max Talbot, a player that was very instrumental in probably one of the toughest losses in recent memory, doesn't seem right. You want me to "quit living in the past", but if Talbot goes to Detroit, the past will be brought up all the time.

Just so I've got this straight. You wouldn't want him on the Wings because he scored two clutch goals in game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals?

I understand to a certain degree, but remember who are coach is.

Ultimately that worked out pretty well for us.

He isn't saying WE shouldn't consider Talbot. All he is saying is that HE wouldn't want to root for Talbot.
