That's a dirty line-up. Each line is defensively responsible and each line only has one floater on it!

problem is, babs likes to mess with the lineups and that doesn't provide many options in terms of who would play well with who. Too many floaters. One per line is too much.

if im holland im saying this:

Is there a kickstarter campaign for Jakub Kindl to never play another NHL game?

 Thanks alot! yet a little more clarity into the crazy CBA!

Although I was talking about last season...not this one coming up... Forsberg was not exposed to waivers. Wellwood and Nabokov were and I thought It was because they played in the NHL the previous season...... But thank you for the added info.

And I clearly stated why they were exposed to waivers two or more times in my previous posts.

Bertuzzi: 16 goals, 29 assists, 45 points, 81 games.
Holmstrom: 18 goals, 19 assists, 38 points, 73 games.

Considering how neither of those had consistent linemates, each bouncing from first to third lines and between, I'd say that's nothing to sneeze at. Jagr had 25 goals, 46 assists and 71 points, so he'd likely slide right in.

Then again, why compare Jagr to those two? Holmstrom's a left wing. Jagr's a RW. Bertuzzi oscillates between the wings as needed, as in the BFF line.

I could see Jagr replacing Hudler or Miller easily enough.

fixed....

trade Hudler for whatever we can get and let Jagr take his spot. But if we do not sign Jagr, sign someone like Jussi Jokinen.

I think Jagr on Datsyuk's wing would be crazy.

Great Minds Think Alike! +1,000,000 For You!

Franzen - Datsyuk - Holmstrom
Bertuzzi - Zetterberg - Cleary
Hudler - Filppula - Jagr
Abdelkader - Helm - Eaves

Not bad. :g:

Miller please....He actually earns his money...

Filppula - Datsyuk - Jagr (J. Jokinen)
Bertuzzi - Zetterberg - Franzen
Eaves - Helm - Cleary
Holmstrom - Abdelkader - Miller
Mursak - Emmerton

Book It!

No thanks, much prefer the posted option. Hudler produces way more than Eaves/Miller; one of them on 4th line, Hudler on 3rd for 3rd scoring line.-

If they're going to acquire a 39-40 year old I would rather they get a guy who hasn't won a cup before and is truly desperate for one.

Hudler produces more than Eaves/Miller IF Hudler was making Eaves/Miller money.... but he is making $2.89M, Eaves/Miller actually earn their pay, and then some, so comparably, Eaves/Miller at less than $1M PRODUCE WAY MORE than Hudler at $2.89M. If Hudler made $750,000, we wouldn't be talking about trading him. (well, I might, but that is me!)

what's with all the people so against this?

just because he's 39 and has been in the KHL for a few years?

3 years ago he put up 71 points in the NHL(and 15 points in 10 games in the playoffs),4 years ago he put up 96 points in the NHL,5 years ago he put up 126 points

just one month ago in a tournament with Spezza,Tavares,Nash,Duchene,Havlat,Plekanec,Koivu,Ovechkin,Radulov,Kovalchuk,Gaborik,Hossa and others he was named the best forward

on top of all this he's one of the best players EVER and deserves the benefit of the doubt for that alone

and a bunch of people here don't want him? even on a reasonable 1 year deal? really?

I agree with you he's one of the best players EVER. Well maybe not ever but I see your points being made and I can't argue with you well maybe...

Scares me though this transition from the KHL to the NHL when playing good over here or vice versa there and then coming here. Honestly liked Hudler before he coped out to the KHL and then came back and obviously his game wasn't up too speed. So in that regard it scares me cause let's face it the speed of the game seems almost to get faster ever year in NHL and Jagr isn't getting any younger or faster. Also the season is 82 games plus playoffs in the NHL where in the KHL it's 56 games if I'm not correct with 8 team playoff. But having said that his numbers don't lie and in his prime one of the most dynamic players on the ice. My main concern then is can he show up the entire season? If so one year deal then but cheap please maybe like Modano's but cheaper not too be stingy :D

In all honesty, i would like the wings to go after someone younger and who has been in the nhl keeping up with the nhl speed the last few seasons, and someone who plays a better 2 way style. However, if training camp is quickly approacing and the free agency pool is all dried up, and we cant get anything via trade without giving up to much, then id say give Jagr a shot if he can come cheap enough. One thing over the years ive noticed is that the wings have pretty good depth. I mean look at last season when modano went down. We had players ready and willing to step in. If Jagr doesnt pan out the way the wings want, we have other players that csn take his spot. Make jagr a healthy scratch or buy him out or something if its not working out. It csnt hurt us that badly if its a cheap one year deal. But like i @aid, at this point it would be more of a last resort in my book.

Also, most people have no idea that checking was meant to separate player from the puck, they just see big hits and drool over. Fighting makes team tough and enforcers are super important. Red Wings are soft, which is why they suck every year. Gotta love LGW.

It is currently indeed the case, that you lead Detroit?
I thought about this. I'll see what they offer. It's early to say anything because I'm the last three or four days was flying for Kladno hockey. On Sunday or Monday I sit down and discuss all options.

It is nice to you by Detroit, he always bet on the older players?
Have not watch the NHL three years, so I do not know what there is for the players and what they report. On the other hand, I'm surprised because I did not expect that it should have an interest in me just Detroit.

Are you pleased also because they play every year, the Stanley Cup?
We are pleased ... Everyone interested in looking forward, the more difficult the decision. If I had only one team, so I have it easy. When they got more and more you think, because you can not look back and say I went elsewhere, so it might turn out better.

How many offers?
I do not know, but one certainly will not, I know one hundred percent. But how exactly, I say. Their number is determined also by finance. The more demanding you are, the less the clubs interested in you.

Are you attracted to return to America?
You know what, I love hockey, this is the most important. I still want to play well, I still want to improve. And then it just depends which way I choose. Whether east or west.

Many people say that you do not have a closed account in the NHL. You take it too?
Many people say that I did not close as I should. The second part, but says it would be better for me if I had not returned. It is the opinion of people, but ultimately will depend on what I say.

So I ask, what is your opinion.
First, I know what the offer, then I have to decide what direction I would like to award. I have to take into account all the pluses and minuses of the clubs. Definitely will determine the strength of their interest or not, what have the chance to win the Stanley Cup. It is also important because the playoffs in the NHL, it is quite another matter.

It is also important what you should fill the role on the team?
This way they can help in the first ten matches, then your role depends on the performances on the ice. When you have a name, is a big expectation. And when you play a little worse, so they change roles during the season. It is not that you hold a certain position tooth and nail.

Let's return to Detroit. Have you talked with Jiri Hudler, who played there?
No. Everything has its time and its importance. So far I have took it that it is so important.

But you have phoned the coach Babcock. What you call from that felt?
I felt how the interrogation. As if I killed someone. Still missing, to my shining eyes. (Laughter)

He was so strict?
No, certainly not. But the wonder is that they are still on top. Few, something like that will, it is no coincidence. They can also make a hockey player who was drafted fifth in the sixth round. It is obvious that they are doing differently and they are great professionals. Before you make a move, so much thinking about it.

So you proklepnul Babcock?
I do not know, you have to call him, what he found.

What are you asking questions?
I do not remember, it was already a week ago. I do not remember what was an hour ago. I'm old.

He asked you to Russia?
After all, I say that I forgot everything. Just know that I was with him a long time on the phone.

In English that would be "I never thought about that. I'll see what my options are." Which means he'll consider all his options (NHL, KHL) and pick one.

He did NOT say "I'll see what they offer." (as in, how much)
