Travis 576 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 @DarrenDreger: Sources say Robyn Regehr has been asked to waive his no-move clause and accept a trade to the Buffalo Sabres. Details to follow. Others reporting that this will likely get done by tomorrow. I would imagine, with the draft fast approaching that this is the first of many moves that we'll see. Opie 308 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 I have always liked that guy. Good pick up for Buffalo, their D is going to be better now for sure.

Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 I wonder if it's the Flames clearing cap space, or if something significant is coming from the Sabres. Either way I hope it turns out awful for them, Flames can suck it

Hockeytown_Ryan 122 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 I am waiting to see these threads pop up for us. I have a feeling Ken could be a busy guy by the sounds of a few articles I have been reading.
Nevermind 363 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 The Flames are asking Regehr to waive his NMC so that he can be traded to Buffalo. Let's say he doesn't want to go to Buffalo. Would any of you be interested in us making an offer to Calgary for him? He's a pure shutdown/stay-at-home defenseman, so I think we'd still have to shop around for an offensive, puck-moving defenseman. I've always liked the way he plays. He'd certainly make our blueline more rugged, but less skilled. His cap hit is a hair over $4M for two more years though. Thoughts? Link
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 I thought we might be in on him, might still be if he doesn't waive the clause.
