Brent Burns to San Jose just ruined the rest of my day. I guess Holland isn't gonna even attempt to make any trades. I hope July 1st is a big day for the Wings.

Mine too. I didn't seriously think he would be coming here, but San Jose is the last place I want him to go. f***

FWIW, TSN has the 35 pick as RW dimitri jackson:

The big Czech winger impressed scouts at this spring's U-18 championship, netting four goals in five games. Played 33 games in the Czech elite league. Strengths - Big, strong player with decent hands and a heavy shot. Uses size and strength effectively along the wall, excellent balance, plays a smart, pro-style game, adept at protecting the puck, solid work ethic. Weaknesses - His feet are mediocre, will need to work on his quickness and agility. Not overly gritty considering his size. NHL Upside - has been compared to Guillaume Latendresse, but with a better skating stride. Also has been called a less skilled Bobby Ryan. If his feet come along may have second-line upside.

and the 48th as defenseman ryan sproul:

After January 1, the only OHL defenceman to score more goals than Sproul's ten was CHL Player of the Year Ryan Ellis with 12. Started the season with Vaughan in the OJHL before deciding to join the Sault Ste. Marie instead of going the NCAA route. Strengths - Scored most of his 14 goals with a heavy slapshot. Game improved substantially over the second half of the season, raw offensive tools, sees the ice well and finds shooting lanes. Weaknesses - needs work on his quickness and lateral agility. Very raw, not overly physical. Decision making needs work, as well as his defensive game. NHL Upside - Skating will be a key to his development. If he makes the NHL he will contribute goals on the power play.

Good move, nothing looking good? Move back.

In Holland I trust.

I don t know, Ferraro and Sheahan (especially Ferraro) have bust written all over them.. Last 1 st picks have been disappointing, and last time we traded down (ferraro + Nestrasil) look like it didn t worked so well...
