Nhurdi 42 Report post Posted July 4, 2011 How is the Talbot contract any different from the Ehrhoff one? Or am I simply missing something here.
MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted July 4, 2011 How is the Talbot contract any different from the Ehrhoff one? Or am I simply missing something here. While Ehrhoff is getting $10 million in 2011/12, $8 million of it is in the form of a signing bonus, which allows teams to get around the rules that the Talbot contract has violated. I suspect it will be one of many loopholes the NHL tries to correct during CBA negotiations coming up.
cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted July 5, 2011 "CBA negotiations" is an oxymoron. I like to refer to it as "lockout preamble".
