why must this guy yappidy yap?

also found this is interesting:

"The 37-year-old is expected to play on one of the Blackhawks' top two lines with stars such as Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa. He said he'll be able to mesh with the Blackhawks' top offensive producers even though he's not the league's fastest skater."

sorry for the ESPN source, but besides TSN I don't know any reliable/credible daily sources... share?

I'm a lurker coming out of the dark...... cool.gif

ESPN SUCKS! yeah we all know and agree, but honestly they do suck. their website is trash with all those garb ads. they articles are written by baboons. and they're sometimes late to the dance with their info.

they're like the TMZ of the sports world in a way.

p.s. It's a whole new world when you create a profile here... pics and sigs are blowing my mind!!

carcillo is a career 4th line mouthpiece. i wish he stayed in philly with pronger and jagr. i like chicago and he's gonna be in the box for stupid s*** all year with the green guys making fun of his porn stache. lapierre is a ****** though as is torres. don't know much about glass, but he's coming to Winnipeg so maybe i'll see him play if i can actually get a ticket.

The article means Brunette. He's 37.

This was just a mis-read by the OP, as you stated, the article very clearly is referring to Brunette there... Carcillo will be a 4th liner there, but I hate that pedophile looking ****** and am not pleased that we see his ugly mug even more now... Commie, here's your chance to endear Wings fans... Tootoo, Carcillo, etc... keep these flies off and you'll be a fan favorite, even if you're a third pairing guy...

re-read the article... they're referring to using Brunette in a top 6 role, not Carcillo

I didn't know Carcillo was a defenseman.

If you watch the press conference, he's baited into the question - but that's irrelevant. Dan Carcillo is doing exactly what Dan Carcillo gets paid to do. I don't like the guy, but it's a part of his style.

Carcillo is our problem. Not Vancouver's. And we didn't even try to address it. Commodore is laughable. Sometimes it seems team in our division is signing players just to make fun of us.

You honestly expect Carcillo to be a "problem"? He's a goon, not an impact player.

Indeed, he IS a problem for us. And not a problem for a team like Boston who has Seiderberg, Chara, Lucic, Thornton, Horton, et al. Tough player eager (not willing, feel the difference?) to drop the gloves!

The article means Brunette. He's 37.

Which also makes a lot more sense, as Brunette fills the same kind of "utility offense" role Kopecky does, but has a wicked shot and has been a top-line offensive player for years. Brunette is also excellent with his hands and can fill the net-front spot Kopecky had been playing. I wouldn't be shocked if he has a very good season in Chicago, given the environment surrounding him. He has rarely played with other skilled forwards and skilled defenseman at the same time.

I have a problem when someone drops the mitts with datsyuk and no one gets retribution for it.

Perry was embarrassed by losing to Dats... one could say that is retribution enough.

Carcillo really isn't a bad 4th liner if he learned to stop all the nonsense and just play hockey.

Wings won the central division last year and swept the coyotes without guys "eager" to drop the gloves. And the reason San Jose beat us is because their 3rd and 4th lines out played ours. Not out hit or out fought.

Finally perry didn't need retribution. Dats dropped the gloves and stood up for himself. You get retribution on a guy who cheap shots your stars, but you shouldn't need to when your stars are willing to drop the gloves in a fair fight (obv with a guy like perry. Now if Godard enticed Datsyuk all bets are off but usually goons wont do stuff like that. It happens but not too often that you'd need to waste a roster spot on a goon to protect against it)
