I like(d) both the signings. Brunnstrom for obvious reasons and his "potential" is limitless. I also liked Modano coming here and if it weren't for some freak injury, he may have lived up to what we all expected of him. Let's just hope that Brunnstrom doesn't have the "Former Dallas Star now a Red Wing freak injury voodoo curse" on him as well....So let me get this straight.
Bringing in Brunstrom, a young guy who tore it up in Sweden, a guy looking for a fresh start (sound familiar?), and would sign for league minimum = BAD
Bringing in a guy at the end of his career to a team thats in desperate need of younger guys for 1mil = GOOD
LGW boggles the mind at times.
Brunnström to try out for Wings

I really don't mean to make this a Hudler thread...
'Cause sharing means caring, and caring means sharing. And sharing means caring. And that's how sharing works. La la la la la.

Homer's long term replacement. well he's half way there, he wears #96!
Well, he can't have #48, as that's half Homer and Emmerton has it. Maybe 24 or 72 if he gets to the big club?

Ceterum autem censeo, Hudler esse delendam.

And while im at it, Id like to see Pulkkinen, Jurco and Jarnkrok all have numbers in the 90's when they reach the big club as well. I just think they look cutting edge and badass. But maybe thats just me.

I would like to see him keep a number in the 90's if he actually ends up on the Red Wings roster.... I like #94 for him.

I agree about the 90's. I really want to have someone wear 98.
If not that then he could just reverse it and go with 69. Both 69 and 98 have hardly ever been used before.

Yet, when he flopped, all the LGW fans quickly changed their tune and started thanking God that they didn't sign him. Fast forward a couple years later and we have a signed him to a tryout. I think this is a good opportunity for him. He has potential to really make a positive impact. I really don't see him going to Grand Rapids though. I also don't see him in the NHL with the Wings unless he really tears it up. Cracking the Wings lineup is not easy.

Yeah when you think about how Datsyuk and Zetterberg came straight from Europe and were able to do it on a team riddled with hall of famers it makes you realize how hard it can be to gain a Wings roster spot.

Ah, that sucks - I guess Leino was the last guy we got a pick for.Ritola was a straight waiver pick up, not a trade.
