The guy loved the game, and Matt Cooke took that away from him. Savvy was one of my favorite players and I hope he is able to overcome this somehow, someway and get back to the game even though it's a long shot. Shawn Thornton needs to take Matt Cooke and end his goddamn career before he takes another good guy from the game.

Yet Matt Cooke continues to play hockey.

+1

I started two threads today, one about a signing and the other an injury, and in both of them I'm reminded of how complete a douchebag Matt Cooke is. I'm not one to wish injury on anyone (I even hope Crosby recovers), but I really hope someone trips in front of him and gives him the old Malarchuk.

Just in case anyone has suffered a severe brain injury and has forgotten why Cooke is the epitome of doucheness, here are the two examples I was reminded of today:

Such a shame, almost everyone saw this coming and that doesn't make it suck any less. I hope he can somehow make his way back.

my thoughts as well, it's such a shame... Cooke is such a POS... :ranting:

With that said, I think he came back prematurely and the doctors that cleared him should probably be looked at...

What a chilling video with the awesome/flukey shot, and the raw emotion he shows after the goal. Just a beauty for the passion he shows for the game. Just awesome.

i think that diagnosis of a concussion is more an art than a science. its not like a broken bone or torn ACL where we can have an x-ray or MRI tell us the problem definitively. if an athlete has headaches, if he keeps that information to himself or downplays his symptoms, the doctors don't have anything to really test the guy with
