GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted September 3, 2011 Probably the Sedins the last several years. Stats wise at least. They're really good "regular season" players. You also forgot to mention Getzlaf/Perry

newfy 695 Report post Posted September 3, 2011 If I'm building a team I take Getzlaf and Perry without thinking twice. They do it all and still score, Getzlaf is one of, if not my favourite non red wing. Plus theyre clutch The Sedins are soft divers who do nothing in the post season and are older. Stamkos and St Louis are probably second, but St Louis is old now. Richards Gaborik could be the best but Gaborik has too many injury issues. If they stay healthy I eexpect theyll put up the most points though this season.

Getzlaf is a beast, Perry has established himself as a force to be reckoned with (despite still being a complete ******), and throw Bobby Ryan on a line with them, when healthy they are the most dangerous scoring line in the league IMO. 2 Rick D and Motown4013 reacted to this

I was thinking... sedin/sedin stamkos/st.louis richards/gaborik? i dont think the wings have any clear scoring pair right now I too immediately thought of Getzlaf and Perry/Ryan, would LOVE to have them on the Wings....speaking of Wings duo's, haven't you heard, Hudler and Datstuk are the greatest together! Hudler even outscores Datsyuk! seriously though, Getzlaf and Perry/Ryan are about the best, they almost always have their way with the Wings... 1 newfy reacted to this
number9 3,297 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 dont the hawks have some one two punches? hossa/kane? toews/sharp? sorry i dont pay attention to the hawks those could be completely wrong lol
PrairieDawg 52 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 I'd say St. Louis and Stamkos. Its just such a perfect playmaker-sniper combo. My two favorite non-wings players.
13dangledangle 965 Report post Posted September 5, 2011 (edited) I would have to say St. louis and Stamkos as well. I will say however I miss so much how the Euro Twins played with each other a few years ago. They had more chemistry between them then any other duo in the league at the time...Or since in my opinion. In addition, Getzlaf is the only player in this league I would trade any current Wing straight up without any hesistation. I would even add a bit trading Zetterberg for Getzlaf. Perry on the other hand is just complementary... Just like Clarke to Gilmore. 1 Uncle Danny reacted to this

toby91_ca 620 Report post Posted September 6, 2011 Sadly, I think Crosby and Malkin when they played together. Two of the best players maybe, but they very rarely play together.....I'd be leaning more towards guys that more chemistry as those noted above. 1 hooon reacted to this
Franzenisgod 1 Report post Posted September 6, 2011 The Euro Twins! (When Babs puts em together) When those two are both out there and healthy, the have chemistry that equals any other 1-2 Punch in the league 1 Hockeymom1960 reacted to this
number9 3,297 Report post Posted October 10, 2011 Since I started this thread and just saw this article by Melrose on NHL.com, I thought I'd bring it back up. http://www.nhl.com/ice/blogpost.htm?id=3131&navid=DL|NHL|home First off, I love that the title is "whos better than datsyuk and zetterberg?" It basically ensues that dats and Z were once the best pair when they were in their prime and got injured less. I disagree with this because neither is a shoot first guy, but they no doubt have chemistry together. They basically were raised on the wings together, they may as well be brothers. Second off, Toews and Kane should not have taken #2. They are a good pair but sharp and toews are more of a pair and hossa and kane are more of a pair. I think kane and toews will be a lot like a future dats and Z, but not as of now. Also, if kane and toews made this list playing on separate lines, how in the heck did crosby and malkin not make it? rankings should have gone like this... 1. getzlaf -perry (very complete players. add ryan and you have possibly the most complete forward line today.) 2. sedin-sedin or stammer-louis (how did stammer and louis get 5th???) 3. sedin-sedin or stammer-louis 4. crybaby-malkin 5. dats-z Also, I'd like to mention some emerging pairs. Giroux-Jagr? Carter-Nash? (<---the addition of veteran vinny to this line was genius. CBJ finally has a legit top line) Richards-Gabby? (<---with dubinsky on the LW makes this line a classic. PWF-PLY-SNP) Hall-Hopkins? (in a couple seasons) Seguin-Marchand? (by the end of this season or next) Could tavares and okposo get some chemistry this year? many emerging pairs this year. hillbillywingsfan 792 Report post Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) Hudler and Hudler. esteef "one not to be named" approves of this. As much as I hate ferry perry i have to agree the getz-ferry is awesome combo...but if we could have dats-z when they were first together there is no better combo. You see glimmers of that like the other night. But how many times did you see dats or z passing to each other not even looking but just feeling/knowing where the other was and one of them scores....was awesome. stevkrause 1,247 Report post Posted October 10, 2011 Give me Z and Dats above all else, I don't care about the gaudy numbers of any of the others, they are as clutch as they get and both are amazing on both ends of the rink...
