I was wondering who all from LGW is going up to Red Wings Training Camp? I think it would be fun to put some names w/ faces and meet everyone. I know that my good friend Kira (and her hubby and dog Loki) will be there, Dimaline will be there, and Amy (I can't remember her name on LGW) will be there, but is anyone else going? Tell us how to recognize you! I will be wearing my #20 Robitaille jersey (I think I am the only Luc jersey) and will be w/ my hubby who wears his red Yzerman jersey.

I am hoping to get the autographs of Bertuzzi, Abdelkader, and a few others. Will also try to get Zetterberg to sign a photo of our 8 week old yellow Lab puppy, "Hank", whose papered name is Kingseeds Henrik Z.

We are heading up to TC on Friday afternoon after we get off of work in Grand Rapids at noon. Boones is our destination that night! We will be at the Saturday & Sunday Training Camp and meeting up w/ Kira Saturday evening at her campsite.

I will most likely be wearing a Red Detriot Red Wings Hoodie Carpenter style pants and a Wings hat but I'm not sure which one as I have a lot to choose from and will be bringing 2 or 3 hats on this trip. I will also be wearing a Detroit Red Wings Backpack as I like to keep track of some of the stats for the NHL Prospect Games as well as the games from the Wings Traing Camp!! I'm pretty short right around 5 ft. Is anyone else going to the NHL Prospect Camp? My family and I are leaving next saturday morning very early as we want to see the Red Wings Prospects Practice. 7 Days Until We Leave!!!! One Week, I'm so EXCITED!!!!

I'll be there for sure! I may be in one of three "outfits"--my red Ozzie jersey, my WC Lidstrom jersey, or my Howard t-shirt. You can usually find me out by the autograph fencing with a big group of friends I stand with each year or every now and then venturing in to watch the practices. I will have a black Red Wings backpack too.

I would love to at least briefly meet up with any LGWers to say "hi" and introduce ourselves. If anybody wants to hang out, that would be good too. I'll be there early Saturday morning until Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm hoping to also fit in nine holes at the resort, since I've always wanted to try their courses but never brought my clubs up before. You may also find me on the TART trail biking around.

I'm not hard to find. I'll be wearing a Datsyuk jersey - probably my red one, since that's the last one I need to get him to autograph. Of course, I'll be with my other half (in a wheelchair) and Loki will be with us...just look for a black dog with white paws and tags around his neck that say he is a service dog, and he's friendly (and yes, you can pet him).

I know my friend Dawn is coming up, and I do believe my friends Sheri and Jean are too. I'm also going to try and meet up with Dave Regineck, who happens to be the Red Wings' photographer (lucky him - what a job!). Should be a blast!

I work from 11pm to 8am, So I'm free during the day. Most the prospects are getting in early, and the other guys are getting in later. Holland and Hakan are getting before everyone else. Just let me know when everyone is coming in (LGW) and we should all set up a night or two where we get together and/or go out. I never get to do the meetings at Wing's games because of how far I am, this is my time to shine lol.

That's a great idea, I'd be willing to get together if my schedule premits it. Not sure what all the family has planned other than Hockey, Wineries and Casino but I'm willing to meet everyone from here that is going if I can.

Dale (my hubby) and I are arriving late Friday afternoon - we are going to buy our smoked salmon at Carlson's in Leelanau, goodies from Murdick's Fudge in Sutton's Bay, and then have a relaxing dinner at Boone's. We are staying at the Sugar Beach Resort. We don't have any plans for Saturday night unless we meet at Kira's campsite so that I can roast marshmallows! LOL! We are are watching hockey on Saturday and Sunday and then have to head home on Sunday afternoon. Dale & I will be enjoying the fact that we will be child free! Our children are all 4 legged, and Hank, our new 8 week old puppy, needs to be let out several times during the night, so we are excited about not having to deal with any fur children!

Having a pot luck at Kira's campsite might be the easiest on the budgets too -

For the most part they are pretty lenient at the State Park that time of year about who comes in to visit, but I will tell you that visitors are supposed to leave at 10. So take that into consideration. Of course, by 10, I'll be wanting to go to bed anyway, because I get up at 6AM every day of camp - I make sure we have breakfast before we go over for the day, and both of us being diabetic, this is important. So, take that for what it's worth.

I just had to bump this up because I'm very excited my family and I are leaving tomorrow morning early to go up to Traverse City for the NHL Prospect Tournament and of course staying for the Detroit Red Wings Traing Camp. Hope to meet some fellow LGWers while I'm up there. Everyone that is going have a safe trip and I'm sure I don't have to say this but have fun. It's sure to be a great time. I'm so readay for some Hockey!! Let's Go Red Wings!!

First impressions during check ins last night:

Best dressed: Alan Quine. He was super decked out.

Most confused about what was going on: Jurco. Lucky for him, Ferraro came and checked in with him, because Jurco had no idea what was going on lol.

Impromptu group leader(s): Ferraro, Smith, Mrazek. Ferraro really helped out the new guys while Smith took over as "guide" and Mrazek was the interpreter for all the over seas guys and was a HUGE help for us.

Most down to Earth: Nyquist. Those Swedish guys that rolled in with their v-neck t-shirts and skinny jeans new they were badasses, but while checkin-in Nyquist I asked him how great it was to be out of college and he was really humble about everything.

Youngest looking: Aubry. The guy is uber tall, but rail thin and he'll have a baby face for the rest of his life.

Nicest: Nyquist. Nothing but please and thank yous from this guy. Real model professional.

Biggest turd burglar award: Curt Fraser. Guy was just a giant turd.

Coolest: Nill/Holland. They are both Chatty Cathys and extremely down to Earth.

Dynamic Duo: Osgood/Bedard. Man were they hilarious together. Osgood was rooming with Maltby and asked if I would cancel his reservation or stick him with the Swedish guys. Bedard kept saying he was Ozzie's younger brother.

There were a lot more stories, and more creepy updates to come.

If I were so lucky as to get to attend any part of training camp, I would have a banner or sign or t-shirt -- something -- with the names and numbers of our fallen players and coach on it.
