It has earlier been reported that Alexander Galimov has died from his burns in the hospital.
The News Channel "Russia Today" just reported that doctors cant confirm that Alexander has died. So there is still hope that at least he may survive this tragedy.

Just absolutely awful news, what an unbelievable off-season this has been. My prayers are with the families involved couldn't imagine what they're going through.

*nod* Neurologists have said that the prognosis for him, even if he survived surgery, was very grim.

That's what I was thinking. It sounds harsh, but life won't be good for him if he survives.

80% burns is grim to say the least. Possible, but just barely.
In children, there are cases of 100% burns where the child survived. I'm not giving up hope.

I read there were 178 of them total, 8 being involved in crashed.
Today. Sucks.

Another tough day in the hockey world....not really sure what to say anymore after this summer...just a tragedy and a lot of lives cut short - thoughts are with the families.

This back and forth reporting is seriously making what was already a horrible tragedy into something even more unbearable.Story Says Salei was not on plane went on a earlier flight

It all could have been avoided with a plane that was safe. I cannot believe it was deemed unsafe by the European Air Union.
If that is true it is tragic news, I was hoping this wasn't a KHL money skimping thing and it was.

Honestly, it's being reported every site I look. The Russian Ministry of something is who originally confirmed it and added his name to the list.Where did you hear this?
