Clearly raised his elbow and targeted the head. The exact type of hit that should have no place in hockey. Classless.

Given the size of the kid, wouldn't that be "clearly lowered his elbow and targeted the head"?

My money on the board pledge:

$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.

An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

In all seriousness, was an accident. It's a fast sport where a lot can happen quickly and Toews is competent enough to know not to do such a thing to a junior on purpose.

hmm i'm mixed about this. oh yes i totally agree about it being an accident BUUUUUUT shouldnt Toews be a little more aware? 1. he's skating around w/o a helmet with kids. 2. he is going about 6x faster cause he's bigger. 3. by the looks of that short clip, the kids are pretty slow turning...
