Shaman 713 Report post Posted September 17, 2011 Because beating the hell out of your own teammates is a great way to build a since of teamwork... Good policy, all any team needs is two good prospects injuring each other in a vain attempt to make the big club.

newfy 695 Report post Posted September 17, 2011 This is nothing new, even the Flyers have used this rule already. Does seem dumb to fight your teammates in training camp though, save it for the preseason games boys

It doesn't make sense to fight a teammate to protect a teammate.

Guest Crymson Report post Posted September 19, 2011 A player at the Blackhawks` training camp was injured last season in a fight. It seems a tad stupid to allow players on the same team to fight each other.

It seems a tad stupid to allow players on the same team to fight each other. Well, it does happen from time to time, in practice during the regular season. I think what this is all about is getting rid of those fights that happen where players are trying to show what they have to offer.

Not surprising that teams would have a policy against it. 1 Zetts reacted to this
BIG G 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2011 Fighting one another fosters "team toughness" I never even knew players fought each other in camp, its ridiculous that its allowed.
GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted September 19, 2011 I for one am proud to be a fan of a team that would never endorse such a ridiculous "no-fighting" policy. Shame on you Tampa.
WorkingOvertime 536 Report post Posted September 19, 2011 I never even knew players fought each other in camp, its ridiculous that its allowed. In the NHL it isn't that common, but it is common in juniors and other non-NHL camps. In the NHL camp is used to get the team ready for pre-season, but in other leagues there are cuts out of camp. Therefore, there are often fights at training camps where players try to prove themselves before cuts are made.
