I'm pretty excited to see how Jurco and Smith look in camp.
I am very excited to see what Jurco can do in camp as well. I think this kid will be on the Wings roster sooner rather than later.
I am also stoked to see what Tvrdon can do. I think he is a very underrated player and will soon be a big part of the Red Wings.

"Yeah, every game, you want some coach?" Steve Hanson
"Er, no. No thanks guys." Reggie Dunlop

Kinda weird to see Eaves on the top line but I like it.
If Z and D are going to play on the same line this year it would be nice to see a right handed shot on that line. Problem is they are tough to find. Eaves has a great shot but I don't think he has the instincts to play with those 2. It's early..who knows.

I'm hoping for this come opening night:
Cleary - Datsyuk - Eaves
Franzen - Zetterberg - Filppula
Bertuzzi - Abdelkader - Hudler
Holmstrom - Helm - Mursak

Ken Holland: He’s (Mursak) a young guy, provides energy, can skate, he’s a puck hound.

Brunnstrom scored today, as did Eaves. Filppula was his teams lone scorer.
I'm hoping for this come opening night:
Cleary - Datsyuk - Eaves
Franzen - Zetterberg - Filppula
Bertuzzi - Abdelkader - Hudler
Holmstrom - Helm - Mursak
I really like these lines, especially that first line. Nice to see Patty Eaves alongside Pavel. He has hands to play there.
Eaves snapped in a one-timer from the slot and Brunnstrom crashed the net to convert a pass, leading Team Delvecchio to a 2-1 victory over Team Howe, which got a goal from Valtteri Filppula.

I absolutely LOVE the idea of Patty on Dats line... call me crazy, but I think he could easily score 25 goals if he stayed on Datsyuk's wing all season and with his defensive ability, that line would be HELL to play against for opposing teams as well...Kinda weird to see Eaves on the top line but I like it.
I'll bite with the line combo's for a rare instance as well... what I want to see is:
Cleary-Datsyuk-Eaves
Franzen-Zetterberg-Holmstrom
Hudler-Filppula-Bertuzzi
Abdelkader-Helm-Mursak/Miller
All I have to say about Holland and our off-season:
and finally
Holland is a damn good GM. period.

The only thing I worry about is the 3rd line and who would shoot the puck. Anyone?!I absolutely LOVE the idea of Patty on Dats line... call me crazy, but I think he could easily score 25 goals if he stayed on Datsyuk's wing all season and with his defensive ability, that line would be HELL to play against for opposing teams as well...

I loooove the thought of Abdelkader-Helm-Mursak though, would be insane! Speed, energy, physicality.

for all the flack he takes on here, that's one thing Hudler has going for him, he's never afraid to shoot the puck...The only thing I worry about is the 3rd line and who would shoot the puck. Anyone?!

All in all though, any of the other line combo's will really work for me, I just really want to see Patty given a legit shot to play and stay on Pavel's wing and I think Cleary is a fantastic compliment to those two... that's the line the gets me most excited, I think Cleary and Eaves could both have career years on that line and as I touched on before, defensively... oh man... talk about a shut down line, their +/- would be insane!

Normally yes, but at times last year he was so hesitant to shoot it was painful to watch. I think that was all due to lack of confidence though so I'd be expecting the 'old' Hudler to return.for all the flack he takes on here, that's one thing Hudler has going for him, he's never afraid to shoot the puck...

And yes, I love that top line, I've been saying for a while now that Eaves has been underutilised, and given a legit shot in the top 6 he'd return to being a 20 goal scorer. He's got the speed and shot, and he's got a great work ethic to succeed. Imagine if we could have a 20 goal scorer for $1.2mil.

Yea I would be a little nervous of that line but man if they could gel together and all play like we know and think they can and shot the puck and not do so many spin-o-ramas=) . That line would be a force that teams would hate to go against.
