Unless there is a two-way clause in the contract. He still gets his salary paid to him for playing in the AHL. The full amount is still given unless he breaches contract. His salary just doesn't show up on the Cap.

Tootoo does NOT belong on this team. He is classless and I would rather see the Wings be bad than classless. I feel the same way about Bertuzzi as well, but he at least CAN make the team better. With Tootoo the team becomes worse and in danger of being classless. Would you have liked Claude on the team? Or Roy? No. So why would you be okay with that POS.

I'm quite sure that he knows this and just meant that Finger won't be getting any big contracts in the future after his current one has run out.

February 2012 - Finger is traded to Detroit Red Wings, who have suffered injuries on defense to Jonathan Ericsson, Jakub Kindl, Mike Commodore, Doug Janik, and Garnet Exelby. Also involved in the deal are Toronto's 2012 1st round pick and the rights to Detroit prospects Daniel Larsson and **** Axelsson.
June 2012 - Finger wins Conn Smythe trophy, setting NHL playoff records for goals (20), assists (32), and points (52).
July 2012 - Finger signs ten year, $120m deal with Florida.

Not sure how that works in... Blanda was a QB, kicker, and linebacker at the NFL level. Seems pretty damn diverse.

But guaranteed he never saw a salary that exceeded 1m. That many zero's as shown in your post should count for diversity.Not sure how that works in... Blanda was a QB, kicker, and linebacker at the NFL level. Seems pretty damn diverse.
