Red and White game

I'm heading to the Red and White game tomorrow at the Van Andel and I was wondering if anyone who's gone to one before knows if there's any opportunity to get signatures or meet the players? I was hoping to get a jersey signed.

Also, who thinks these teams are a little... unfair?

I used to go back in the day, but I have no idea where or if there are opportunities for autographs. But funny story, last time they had the red and white game there was some complication with homers jersey, like they forgot it or something. So some of the red wings staff went out and borrowed a holmstrom jersey from a fan for homer to wear in the game. That fan got autographs from the team.. So my advice is to hide one of the players jerseys and be ready to give them yours..

I noticed that Commie and Brunnstrom arent on the rosters (unless I missed it).. Anyone know why? I could kind of see Brunnstrom not being in if they just want to have contract players in the game, but Commie being out seems weird to me..

Yeah, I was somewhat surprised to see that. Not sure why they wouldn't be involved. Any chance this says something about Commodore's spot on the roster?

Yeah, Red has Hudler on it so of course they will crush the white team

I just got offered a ticket behind the players benches 3 rows from the glass for $40 which included my share of gas from Muskegon, from a group of 3 guys I know. Sadly I am saving every last cent to put a wood stove in my living room for this winter. Im so goddamn poor these days. Bet that game would be badass too see. When reading the roster seeing #5 #13 #40 all on one team I was like WTF?

Is this going to be televised? RWL.NET perhaps? crossing my fingers!

I paid $135 for two tickets for the lower bowl. They sent me 4 tickets to the upper bowl with the price $15 stamped on them.

They told me they oversold tickets and sent these to (crappy upper bowl seats) compensate for my loss. I demanded a full refund but they have not refunded me yet.

GRAND RAPIDS -- Brent Raedeke scored the game-winning goal with 8:34 remaining in the third period and Jiri Hudler added an insurance goal with 1:59 left to lift the Red team to a 6-4 win in the Detroit Red Wings' Red-White game Tuesday night before a crowd of 10,174 at Van Andel Arena.

Valtteri Filppula scored twice for the Red team in the intrasquad scrimmage, while Todd Bertuzzi had a goal and an assist , Garnet Exelby had three assists and Logan Pyett added two. Hudler added another goal and Brent Raedeke also scored.

Ian White, Henrik Zetterberg and Tomas Tatar each scored for the White team, Trevor Parkes had a goal and an assist and Pavel Datsyuk had two assists.

All 10 goals came against goaltenders Jordan Pearce and Thomas McCollum.

Goaltender Jimmy Howard stopped all 12 shots he faced in one period of work, and Ty Conklin stopped the six shots he saw in the scoreless first.

With about 5 minutes left in the game, most of the Red Wings had retired to the locker room, leaving the ice to the Grand Rapids Griffins' prospects.

The White team took a 1-0 lead 8:09 into the second period when Tatar scored a power-play goal.

Bertuzzi tied it for Team Red with 9:47 left in the second during a 5-on-3 power play after taking a nice pass from Filppula. Zetterberg put the White team back on top with 5:09 remaining in the second during a 5-on-3 power play off a feed from Datsyuk. Nicklas Lidstrom also had an assist.

Filppula tied it when he knocked in the rebound off Bertuzzi's shot with 1:52 left in the second, and gave Team Red a 3-2 lead just 48 seconds later when he snuck a shot past Pearce.

White tied it for the White team at 3-3 3:46 into the third.

Hudler gave the Red team a 4-3 lead at the 5:20 mark of the third, but the Red team tied it again 5 minutes later on Parkes' goal.

I just got back from the game. I thought it was very entertaining. The only complaint I have is that all the Wings players like Dats, Z, Mule, and so on left in the 3rd period. The only Wings left playing at the end were Flip and Hudler. I was hoping to see more of the Wings players, but thats the way it goes. It was worth watching. Especially Dats when he had the puck. That guy is awesome to watch.

I paid $20 each for my lower bowl tickets. No ticketmaster fees since I bought them through group sales directly through the Griffins. I put on group outings for the Griffins and they let me buy direct through them.

It was more like 15 minutes left in the 3rd period is when all the main Wings players retired to the locker room.

I'm amazed that events still do this with technology used to track seat sales. Hopefully everything gets resolved for you.

It was a really fun game to watch, though I was also disappointed that the Wings left really quickly in the third (Fil was not one left playing, he left with everyone else. Homer and Huds were left til the end). Helm and Ericsson were also not on either roster which was kind of a bummer. I really love watching Helm play.
