Umm that's exactly the type of hit that is being suspended. Plus he was injured. I say 2 games... but its a player not likely to play in the nil right away.Clean hit, if shanny suspends him this league is a joke

but it was east west and a hit to only the head.
Brendan Smith's pre-season is now over...That is a definite suspension.
They took the wording east to west out of the rule. They also said that if it was a last second move then it wasn't on the hitter.

I think Shanny is going to get a lot of criticism if he doesn't suspend him. People will remember he played at Detroit.

they use "lateral" instead:
48.1 Illegal Check to the Head – A lateral or blind side hit to an opponent where the head is targeted and/or the principal point of contact is not permitted.
