Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted September 30, 2011 You can bet Winchester will want a re-match. One of 3 fights in the game. Ballard/McGinn was a visorfest. Todd Fedoruk and Jim Vandermeer had a decent scrap. I've got to say, i'm really pulling for Fedoruk. He knows the only way he can make the Canucks roster is by fighting. We all know he doesn't want to, after sustaining the facial injuries that he has. I believe he has the most fighting majors so far this preseason. This guy really has heart. Vancouver lost a good amount of grit over the summer with the departures of Tanner Glass and Rick Rypien. Fellow 4th line hopeful Owen Nolan was released last week I believe. edicius 3,269 Report post Posted September 30, 2011 Total props to Volpatti too. He held up when he knew Winchester was down. Some players would have just kept swinging. 2 NeverForgetMac25 and Din758 reacted to this

Actually, you're not far off. Shanny has said something about re-evaluating the place of fighting in hockey, since that's part of his player safety job. I feel like hes kinda being a puppet and being told what to do quite a bit. cuz we all know Shanny had an awesome style of play!

GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted September 30, 2011 +10 cool points for Volpatti for letting up after the punch. People who complain about fighting should know that 20 or 30 years ago, there were much fewer guys who'd let up in that situation.
