Good rule of thumb is always take an octopus everywhere. Better to have one and not need it than find yourself thinking, "Damn, I wish I had that octopus".

You guys think Tatar would be upset if Nyquist made the team before him ?
Sure, but that's just too bad. Nyquist has outshone all the kids/guys vying for a spot on this team.

I've seen highlights with that last name being pronounced "nee qwist" (Swedish version?) but Nyquist himself pronounces it "nye qwist" as FSD does. So as far as he goes, I stick with how he pronounces it himself."Quist" is correct, but "Ny" is not like in "Nike", but almost like in "new".

Oh, I didn't know that. Must be because he's lived in U.S. for few years and he's been called that. Not unusual at all actually, to make the pronouncing easier for locals.

Probably futile thinking too. It's like, even if I pronounced it natively, they're still gonna f*** the pronunciation up anyways (Americans tend to just pronounce it their own way anyhow) so oh well, nye qwist it is!Oh, I didn't know that. I guess you're right. It bugs me that it bugs me. I can't but shake my head for the thought that one the all time best players is called Teemu Salami.
They're just skating in circles. Regular season, please.

Ehrhart gets a Babs glare for that one.
I think it was for the referee.
It must be the preseason as Babcock's laughing during the time-out.

Maybe Nyquist, Emmerton, and Brunnstrom all make it to start the season?

Does Nyquist make the team this year? I thought especially with Mursak hurt there was 2 roster spots open. With the play of brunnstrom and Nyquist i thought they would be getting the spots. But i just heard mick and ken mention how there isnt room for Nyquist and if it werent for veteran players and contract obligations that he would be on the team. Is their a finalized roster yet?
I don't think that Holland will ditch Brunnstrom or Emmerton, not when he likes his prospects overripe and not when Nyquist is still waiver-exempt.

Ericsson is a clown. Can't shoot, can't pass, can't use his size, can't defend....
He wasn't bad tonight at all. Also, if anyone is wondering, Nyquist is a beast. Secondly, Hudler had a horrible game. I have zero hope for him. If we can't get Nyquist on the team, give him Hudler's spot and get rid of Hudler. Sorry Eva.
Also also, I thought Filppula was a beast tonight, despite the fact he didn't have any points. Although in his defense, he had to play with Hudler a lot.
