RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted October 13, 2011 who the hell makes the schedule. Since they beat the Avs they have had 5 days off. After thursday game they play on saturday. The next game after the blue jackets on saturday is friday which is another 6 days. I just hope this isnt a scheduling trend throughout the year.
PrairieDawg 52 Report post Posted October 13, 2011 Seems weird when the Pens have been playing like every other day so far this season.

I always give schedulers (human and computer) a break. It can't be easy to schedule 2460 dependent events, subject to an insane number of stipulations. Give it a shot and see if you can make it ten games without playing on a basketball court! 2 Jasper84 and 55fan reacted to this

RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted October 13, 2011 It all evens out in the end. I know it does. It just seemed last year when the wings would hit a roll get some momentum. They then would be off for 5 days.

Eh, its not like they know we're going on a roll. We could also be in a slump when we hit a break like this.
Din758 371 Report post Posted October 13, 2011 ya i dont mind the breaks at the beginning too much. we couldve easily started off rocky and now we wouldve had the days to fix what we did wrong. But theres always stuff to work on at the beginning of the year. You could argue the rest would be better towards the end of the season, but it goes both ways. You say that like the players are off at home asleep on the couch when there isn't a game. There's been several articles about how the Wings are using the extra time for added training. I'd also like there to be more time off towards the beginning of the season to allow players to work more on playing together and working on the rough edges. hooon 1,089 Report post Posted October 13, 2011 The Sharks have still only played one game this season. And they don't play tonight either.
