What a great period by Jimmah!

Sedin really blew that one.

The Wings have got to win more faceoffs. That was disgusting.

Great period by Howard, lucky not to be losing so far.

I hope the second period is more eventful. Jimmy has been great but I'd like to see a little bit more finesse by the wings, I might be imagining it but it seemed like the puck was taken away from us more than usual.

Woah Howard saved us a couple of times in the last min there. Let's hope we get a goal in the second.

Daniel reminded me of Samuelsson on that shot.

Our face-offs are pretty shameful so far

Jimmy just keeps impressing, started playing like a real #1 goalie last spring and is on the same track now. Now we just have to reward him by scoring a few.

Howie is playing very well, imho. I hope they get better in the faceoff circles, if they don't it's going to come back and bite them hard. Hopefully they come out for the second and the rust is gone. I think a big part of the sluggishness and the uncharacteristically poor faceoff performance is the long layover since the last game.
It's pronounced "Zim" not "Exim". Aw heck with it, just call me Scott.

Why are we losing so many faceoffs? One of the reasons is Franzen is taking them over Fil. What is Babs thinking there... not a wise choice... Pavs, Kronners, Nick and Jimmy are the only wings that look solid tonight

I'm thinking of a word to describe that period and it rhymes with "Fuster-cluck" Anybody want to guess? Tighten it up boys!

I think Wings were already rusty last week in the two games. The break didn't help them. Quite a many missed passes and misreads, but got little better closer to the end of the period.

Quite a "meh" period by two skilled teams waiting for the pther to make a mistake. None of the scoring chances were very exciting, Abdelkader's fight was over in a few seconds and there were no hits to mention.

Franzen and Helm both lost 5 of their 6 faceoffs.
