Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted October 22, 2011 Ferraro should get a job bagging groceries, maybe then he could stay healthy. The guy is effin joke He's definitely been injury prone, but a concussion is just bad luck. Anyway, the undermanned Griffins lost 4-1 tonight. Conner kept his streak alive by scoring, assisted by Exelby and Pare. Tatar had a team high 5 shots, Aubry was next best with 4. Aubry was also out there when the Barons scored an EN goal, so I take it Aubry impressed. That's one positive to take from this game.
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted October 23, 2011 Wow, what a great goal by the Griffins. Nyquist skates into the offensive zone, but falls. While on the ice, he still makes a play by sliding the puck to Nestrasil. Nestrasil holds onto the puck, and passes it across to Nyquist who is back up and in position. Nyquist then passes again to Nestrasil who is driving to the net, and as he does he slides a nifty pass across to Raedeke who puts it home. Griffins 1-0. Aubry then dominates for two shifts, almost scores, and then Brule (who had previously fought Piche) decided he'd have another go, but this time he loses the plot and gives up a 4 minute penalty. Griffins PP. Andersson wins the faceoff, Nestrasil whips the puck back to Smith. Smith hands on, then shoots, a big rebound comes and Nestrasil who had driven to the net after the pass slams it home. Griffins 2-0. Nestrasil, Nyquist, Aubry= exciting.
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted October 23, 2011 Brendan Smith just got into a fight, and won. Nyquist's speed is impressive, as is Aubry's hustle and physicality.
