Usually I think the back to back excuse is perfectly legitimate, but with five days off beforehand I don't know how much of a factor it is. Perhaps it still is pretty rough though; I've never had the pleasure of being a professional hockey player.Someone mentioned things went the Wings way in the 2nd and it did until that unlucky bounce, but that's all it takes.. Conklin has to pay attention. The Wings tend to have crummy starts, not to abuse the back to back excuse, but I don't think they have enough gas in the tank due to this being the latter end of a back to back, despite waking up a bit late, to complete a comeback on this one, and that last goal was a back breaker.
They've played an okay game, but sometimes it goes in your net and not in theirs. Conklin has not turned in a good performance either, though.
