Great another loss. I have zero confidence in Craplin and McGarbage.

Craplin did not even look like he belonged in the NHL Saturday and a shut out against the Avs is hardly worth writing home about.

Reminds me of a quote from a Vancouver fan that went something along the lines of Luongo having no right to miss a week's worth of Canucks games due to his wife giving birth because they aren't the ones paying his salary.

It's funny that you say that, because:

If [his family is more important to him than playing this game] I hope he doesn't get paid for the time he's away. If players have personal stuff they think are more important they shouldn't get paid for that time either.

Mindfly should go slap Howard's wife for having the temerity to give birth during the season. Perhaps he advocates celibacy for all players, or maybe only allowing them to f*** during certain times of the year so that if any babies are born, they're born during the off-season. That way they won't put undue burden on their teams by deigning to procreate.

Where the hell do all of these people come from that are pissed that these guys want an extra day with their new family? Its disgraceful if you ask me but obviously these opinions come from people who have never experienced what you go through, so many different things can happen one can hardley put it into words how ridiculous some of these responses sound. Actually mad because they take an extra day? f*** off.

Thats my opinion. I think Conklin is crap. Maybe he will prove me wrong. Not sure why an opinion has anything to do with making friends. Conklin was horrid last year, he is not exactly young and his statistics are on pace for what he did last year..actually slightly worse. Maybe he will have another shut out or maybe he will look like he belongs playing in a lower league but based on last year... I am guessing the latter.

We understand that players will have bad games, and will under-perform. We also understand that other fans may not appreciate said under-performance. However, calling players "Craplin" and "McGarbage"? What are you, 12?

So yeah, you're not going to make many friends here insulting the players. Other people here know how to voice displeasure with someone's performance without doing that.

Great basis, given he played on a completely different and far s***tier team last year. Talk about apples to oranges.

Go back to his 2008-2009 season and you'll likely have a more accurate bases of what his current season will look like.

You're looking at his pace after playing two games which were from one absolute extreme to the other? Conklin has been heralded as one of the top back-ups around the league for years now. Most people were thrilled to see him come back.

Jimmy was pretty selfish to not plan this event in the offseason so that we wouldn't have to see Conks in, I mean, Jimmy is expected to play all 82 games every season...

Unfortunately, you better follow the advice of the people who are telling you "you won't make many friends around here". Because that translates directly into = you're going to get banned. Their is a strict law around these parts as to which players you can openly trash as much as you want to and which ones you can't. Learn it well, or be dismissed.

Lidstrom = God. Don't even comment on not liking the color of his skate laces.
Zetterberg/Datsyuk/Kronwall = Untouchables. Anything more than a "what's up with?" and you're gone for 7 days.
Helm/Stuart/Cleary/White/Franzen/Howard/Kindl = DGR's. As in you better have a Damn Good Reason to say something. Otherwise, you're gonna take a lot of heat. And probably will even if what you said was true.
Mursak/Tatar/Nyquist/Bertuzzi/Filppula/Abdelkader/Holmstrom/Eaves/Miller/Emmerton/Conklin = Fair game for bashing, but you will offend one poster who happens to like one of these guys as their favorite for some reason.
Hudler/Ericsson = Open Season. As far as LGW goes, there can't be enough Hudler or Ericsson Bashing. Let 'er rip.

Lol. Well Conklin is listed as fair game. So ya I should be okay. I don't rip players very often but when a player looks like he does not belong in the league for a game or more I am going to say something.
