I watched some of the game tonight, and he looked awesome. Made some highlight-reel saves. Not sure if we had a chance to get him before, though.

Wings could've drafted him in 2008 but instead drafted Thomas McCollum.

He seems to be in the HAsek school, just flopping around but making great saves.
"I assure you the hits along the boards he(Aaron Downey) constantly threw SEVERAL TIMES EVERY SHIFT were far more damaging hits that what Kronwall throws."

Pavel datsyuk is the best player in the world because he snatches the puck from unsuspecting forwards, then dangles 2 defenceman, and follows it up by doing "the datsyuk" on his victims, then calmly skates back to his bench ,and goes home to his girlfriend back in the motherland.

Disgusting...

And yet... I still think I'd prefer him as a prospect right now over McCollum.

McCollum in my opinion has been one of the worst Ken Holland moves in a VERY long time.

Drafts are mostly Jimmy Nill, Joe McDonnell and Hakan Andersson. Word on the street is that Hakan of course wanted Markstrom.
