I would, but I guess you can't say he doesn't deserve it given the salary of other players around the league.
I'm guessing around 5.25m.

If Kenny locked him up for anything between $5-$6, I'll be ecstatic!

ya let's see what he got .. 7 years bit much, not liking these deals this late in his career. 5 years would have been enough.

Awesome. It'll be interesting too see how much it is. He's capable of unbeliavable things but still he's scored over 40 points just once in his career. This contract starts when Kronwall is 31 years old.

Glad to have him locked up. 5-6 mil seems reasonable. Especially since when Lids retired he's going to be the number one guy. He's a great defenseman, but I do worry about these long-term contracts. But I imagine it drops off pretty steeply toward the tail end so it'll work out. He's got another 4 or 5 years in his prime, really.

My money on the board pledge:
$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.
An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

He is only 30 years old (turning 31 in January). His new contract will begin next fall as he is 31 turning 32. So the contract will end in the year that he starts at 37 and ends at 38. Seven years is long but it's not exactly the same thing as these contacts that take players to 40+ years old

I'm stunned. That is just crazy seeing as the contract only takes him to 38 years old. He must be leaving some money on the table and setting an example for everyone else to follow.4.75/year being reported. f*** ya.
