That's the most complete period we've played this year. I am impressed, a few more goals next period would be nice though!

Wish they could have capitalized a little more, but I can't complain. They look good, for sure, and Jimmy was not busy.

Anyone else liking Cleary-Flip-Eaves?

I missed the first couple of minutes, but Cleary seems to be doing a bit better tonight than in previous games. I wonder if the upper body injury is healing up to a point where it isn't as bothersome.

And when called upon made the saves he needed too. He's been the most consistent player through 9 games easily.

Swedes speak better English than the people around where I live. Embarrassing.

Nyquist is looking good but I still double take at the 14 thinking of Shanny. I must be nostalgic for some reason tonight because I saw Abdelkader on the ice and had a Larionov flashback.

No complaints with that period. The goal may as well have been on the PP and the PK was clicking tonight.

Cleary was not better. He gave the puck away at least 3 times in the offensive zone. There was one instance where his head was down and he literally just passed right to one of the Wild players. I still think he should be sitting, not Huds. Other than that, the Wings had a great period. The top line looks great, the team D looks much better, and the passing is better. I do not like the 2nd line at all though... it just isn't working. I would move Fil up to center that line with Nyquist and Franzen as the wingers.

Exactly, but I won't complain about the +, either.

Hank has been looking much better ever since he scored against the Sharks.

I didn't see that giveaway, but I agree with the thought of sitting him before Huds. I like the idea of Fil-Mule-Goose as a line, maybe we'll see it at some point tonight.

Yep, Cleary did have one terrible giveaway. I think it should be Huds-Flip-Eaves. And I agree, the second line isn't great, get Flip with Nyquist. Franzen and Bert aren't good enough playmakers to be with Gus IMO.

Must have taken their 5 Hour Energy before the game.

I'm gonna say Cleary scores tonight.

Time for the 2nd. Hopefully they have a big offensive outburst.

Not sure I understand why that wasn't a penalty.
