Well, it's about FRIGGIN TIME!!! Lets see how many shifts Babs goes through before putting D and Z back together... I've never really disagreed with much Babs has ever done, but keeping these two together is flat out stupid to me. Wings no longer have the luxury of keeping them together, there isn't enough talent on the team's top 6 to put our two best centers on one line.

Even with Datsyuk not playing nearly as well as he could be he is still making plays and creating some opportunities. It makes sense to play him with Cleary and Hudler who can both finish. Zetterberg I think would make more sense with Fil and Franzen because Fil can set both of them up. I don't see much offense coming from Fil playing with Helm and Abdelkader.

Bertuzzi should be benched. He is abysmal right now and does not deserve ANY minutes...let alone top-six minutes.......Fil was actually playing really well, why not put him on the Z line???

Yes, Bertuzzi's free pass to one of the top two lines has been confusing and unwarranted. BUT, why is Cleary getting the same treatment? I want someone who can do more than just gain center ice and dump the puck in. Give his spot to Homer, who skates hard on every shift and does more stick handling than we give him credit for. Cleary should be getting the same amount of criticism as Bert.

he has had some big hits, maybe that is what they are looking for. Kronwall has tried a few hits but hasn't connected so far. If the wings aren't winning they should at least play physical and take some runs at their opponents.

I would argue that stupid penalties outweigh any big hit he might inflict. It's sad, but he's just too slow. As soon as he takes a hand of his stick he gets whistled for hooking, slashing, holding the stick, etc.

Babs likes to roll 4 lines right? Well there you go, every line can play. Sitting guys like Hudler, Cleary and Bertuzzi does no good. They gotta get going if were gonna win games, sit redundant players and try to score some frickin goals. We've shown this year we can play defence (not in the last 5 minutes of the 3rd but oh well) and that Howard is a monster this year. Lets score some goals, and let Jimmy take care of stopping the pucks. He's allowed 7 goals the past 4 games, and only won one of those games. That's less then 2 goals a game, thats more then enough to win, especially for this team.

Great that he split them up but I would like to see the reasoning to why these combos. They don't make sense, and Cleary for the first time looked decent and he was on line three and to demote Nyquist already...It doesnt matter but Id like to see something like:

Flippula-Datsyuk-Hudler

Nyquist-Zetterberg-Franzen

Abdelkader-Helm-Bertuzzi

Cleary-Emmerton-Eaves

With these we have Defensive mindedness on every line, we have potential secondary scoring on the bottom two lines and two great top lines IMO.

If Larionov could hit 60 points as our 3rd line center back in the day so can Flip. Too many excuses as to why he isn't hitting numbers he has the talent/potential to hit.
