If you look at our top six, it just can't match up against a lot of teams anymore.

Bertuzzi is clearly on the decline and is more of a third line player.

I think cleary played above his abilities last year, he's a versatile player but probably fits in best on a third line role.

Datsyuk isn't the same datsyuk that he was so hopefully he returns at some point. (Might be his wrist).

Holmstrom, not anymore. Hudler, no he's useless.

I mean how many top six guys do we really have? Zetterberg, Dats, & Franzen.

Maybe we need some injuries this season. Like to Bertuzzi, Stuart and Franzen. Team needs a wake up call bad. What is it going to take boyz. What is it going to take

How bad was the missed call on Helm at the end of the 2nd?

10 years? 20 ... this team has no chance to make the playoffs.

Well, look at the bright side. If the Wings continue their spiral down the toilet, maybe the bandwagon and fairweather fans will take a vacation from the forums and the games. That will result in better hockey talk among the real fans.

At this point I will be happy if we are ahead of the Columbus Blue Jackets at the end of the season

Is there a Crosby like player next year in the draft that we're playing for?

I really hope this team does get booed off the ice tonight.

Maybe that's what they need. I know they noticed last year when they were booed. Whatever it takes to get things going, they need something to wake them up and fix this problem.

Thanks Offsides

Trying to figure out what bit this team in the ass after the 5th game --- tale of two polar opposite teams.

Seven, I think?

Last season the longest losing streak was 4 games.

(and two of those were OT losses)

Ian White has been, by an absolutely country mile, our best player tonight.

He is skating hard, he's jumping in on the play, he's solid defensively. Well done Ian.

Ken Holland: Hes (Mursak) a young guy, provides energy, can skate, hes a puck hound.

Predictions for Saturday? I'll say 5-1 Ducks.

I bet the "1" part of your prediction is accurate.
The Vladinator He earned the NHL Plus/Minus Award in 1995-96, with a plus/minus difference of plus-60. The +60 has been the highest rating a player has finished with in the past 20 seasons, since Wayne Gretzky finished with a +70 in the 1986-87 NHL season

Bertuzzi is clearly on the decline and is more of a third line player.

I'd say he's more of not a player at all.

If you aren't worried right now, you are not a real fan. This team has major issues.

This is just painful to watch.... I am glad Kronwall is celebrating his new deal by playing like crap since... I have come to my own conclusion, Franzen is hot garbage. I don't want to hear anything about Hudler and his potential anymore. The whole team is playing crappy, but the guys who are paid to score aren't doing it. Has Kipper broke a sweat tonight? If this garbage continues thru the first 20 games, or should I say if they don't win at least 6 out of the next 9, then Holland is really going to have to address this team with some kind of shake up...

...I just keep reminding myself that these are the Red Wings and they are just in an early funk. Better to get it out of the way now, than April. Please....
