Outside the crease or not, that's interference. Should be 2 minutes too. If you're going to call it every time, call it every time, and make it count.

Homer is getting the s*** beat of him tonight.

That's what I don't get.

When is it a no-goal AND a penalty?

There's zero consistency with what constitutes goaltender interference and whether or not it's a penalty.

Franzen is horrible. He has no confidence what-so-ever...

Cleary that was disappointing...

Bring Fedorov Home For A Day!

He Needs To Retire A Red Wing.

When Gordie Leaves Us, the NHL MUST Retire The #9.

Damn. I would've been great to see Cleary get that one.

Homer has been great tonight. Say what you will about him, but the guy works hard and has been very effective at keeping the puck in the offensive zone.

Franzen is horrible. He has no confidence what-so-ever...

That was a pretty lame move. Pull up to the sideboards and throw a wrister at the net, hoping Flip makes some great re-direction?

Go to the net Mule!

Brunner looks great out there. He better stay up. It's only a matter of time before he scores. As far as Franzen goes, he has an assist. We're so hard on him but he's sill up there with the best this season in points. He won't lead the league, but he's still respectably high.

Agreed.

He hasn't looked bad, but so far this season he's just looked... mortal.

As I mentioned a couple of GDT's back, I remember an interview shortly after the Lokomotiv tragedy where he said something along the lines of not even wanting to think about hockey. I wonder if there was any of that mental/emotional stress still affecting him. Plus, disn't he say late in the preseason his wrist was still bothering him.
It's pronounced "Zim" not "Exim". Aw heck with it, just call me Scott.

Anyone know if Brunner actually practiced with the line he's skating with? Last time he was up it seemed like he practiced with the top 6 but was usually on the ice with the 3rd or 4th line.

Too bad Commodore missed that hit.
The Vladinator He earned the NHL Plus/Minus Award in 1995-96, with a plus/minus difference of plus-60. The +60 has been the highest rating a player has finished with in the past 20 seasons, since Wayne Gretzky finished with a +70 in the 1986-87 NHL season

Pavel Datsyuk > x (where x is the name of any active hockey player)
