Started really well, too many turnovers and scrambly play around Jimmy in the second half of the period.

I suppose Wings just need to get the puck to their sniper more.

Good overall period by the Wings. My one problem continues to be Dan Cleary... he does NOT deserve to play with Pavs at all! He is playing BRUTAL! On the powerplay, he gave the puck away twice, he makes drop passes to no one, and is slowing Pavs down. Why does our best play maker not have a goal scorer to set up? That is dumb and needs to be changed asap because it is a waste of time for Pavs. Other than that good period being led by Captain Nick again.

Hudler should be playing with Pavs! He can score goals. Cleary is a poor man's Homer. Homer is doing his job perfectly on that line, and Hudler would provide Pavs an option to pass to that could actually shoot the puck.

I don't know how many times I've posted this- Brunnstrom has to earn that spot. He couldn't make the Leafs or Stars last season, and he needs to prove his skill. I'm glad we're giving him that chance, but that position should not be gifted to him- he needs to earn it and be better than Bert, Cleary, Huds, Homer, or Abby (assuming the second line remains as-is).

Cleary is a far more versatile player than Homer ever was. He's just having a bad season, and people like you are jumping to conclusions very early. Perhaps we should demote Zetterberg if he ever has a cold streak. Because that's the best thing to do when a player is in a slump. Demote them. Always. Don't ever continue playing them in the very reasonable hope that they'll get back on track. Right?

Unless you're Lidstrom, some players do decline, and some do it quickly. There is something up with Cleary and he needs to have to earn 1st line minutes instead of it just being given to him at this point of the season.
